We went here for a late lunch with no reservation and were given a warm welcome by the staff who are all dressed traditionally. The menu is easy to understand and there is a nice selection to choose from. The crispy pork knuckle with knodel...was stunning! It’s a simple dish but also an easy one to get very wrong. Zur Haxe certainly knows how to get it right, it was delicious! Despite the enormous portion, we cleaned our plates. Also, the lady who served us was just so charming and attentive, she gave us excellent service. When we left her a well deserved tip she attempted to return it saying it was “too much”. This restaurant is situated slightly off the beaten track but well worth a visit....
C'est vraiment paumé.Mais l'accueil est excellent. Le côté kitch complètement assumé. L'équipe du restaurant a l'air heureuse (ce n'est pas si souvent).Pour le repas, oubliez tout ce que vous savez de la diététique : on travaille dans le très lourd : jarret de près d'un kg, 1/2 canard rôti...La cuisine est allemande -- paraît-il bavaroise -- et très bonne.Je tiens à attirer l'attention de certains, le caractère parfois sucré/salé de certains accompagnements ou sauces peut dérouter.Bière impeccable.Et tarif "à l'allemande".
Fantastic friendly place in Prenzlauer Berg.This was a bit out of the way for us but we wanted the best pork knuckle in Berlin, and without sampling them all (I tried), I think we succeeded. Absolutely delicious. Also the Goulash was excellent.Great beer also, but that is no surprise to you I am sure!Went here with my wife and young baby and the service was very friendly.
Sehr herzliche und bayrisch urige Bedienung mit dem Herz am rechten Fleck. Ausgezeichnete bayrische Küche reichlich und deftig. Gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Hoffentlich nicht zu bekannt da nur begrenztes Platzangebot. Tischreservierung angeraten.

Buona cena in ristorante tipico tedesco.Personale vestito a tema molto gentile.Buono il cibo. Unica pecca lo stinco di maiale forse un pó troppo secco, ma comunque molto buono. Prezzi nella media.
