We were going to another German food restaurant, which was closed and right across the street was zur Platane. We are very happy we went in to be welcomed immediately by two lovely ladies, more like my Mom's :). Perhaps the best observation was that this seemed to be a local institution with families and friends from the neighbourhood dropping in. They made us welcome and oh-by-the-way, the food was great. The tomato soup was tasty, the schnitzel's all well cooked and a little bit crisp (the way we like it) and when you had a bit of the mayo and fries, awesome. If you are overnighting before an early flight out of FRA, do yourself a favor and drop in, you'll enjoy it.

I was lucky to stumble on this one. eating is good and tasty, they claim to use fresh ingredients. small card (which is good) a Mediterranean note, they also have some local (height) suggestions. service was good and friendly. her choice of open weeping is... well I'm sorry to choose this one.

it was not necessarily bad now, but it has not helped to order again and again
