Visited on the 03.07.2016 for lunch.Hidden in a beautiful corner of Gockhausen, with seating inside and outside.Seems to be very popular among the people living in the vicinity.The menu card with a large variety of dishes , at fairly high prices but reasonable for the quality of food offered , and not to forget the good location.Excellent food and very efficient service personnel, many of them who have been over 15 years.Just goes to show what good employers they are.Suited for any occasion.There regular customers seems to be the rich and the elderly.Worthwhile a visit.There is sufficient parking and good public transport to the area.Heard from the grapevine that they will close down the res...
If you want a real good steak experience, visit this restaurant. It is only minutes from the city, in a nice setting at a horse riding location in Gockhausen. Very good, reasonably priced food, extensive wine list. There is something hard to find otherwise on the menu - and it is as good as it sounds: a 1kg (about 32 ounces) Tomahawk steak from Canadian Heritage Angus Beef ! To be shared by two. Fantastic meat, perfectly cooked, good sides. You don't need to fly to the US and go into an expensive steakhouse - it's at least as good ;) compare the food with a Ruth Chris or similar .. Definitely will go again.
A beautiful place at the edge of Zurich for everyone; either just for the food or to celebrate parties, organise banquettes and even offering catering service. A very popular place but perhaps not famous for culinary highlights. The "Cremeschnitte" is, however, a real hit and a must eat - so go gentle on the main dishes in order to reserve some space. In good weather the garden is a wonderful place to eat, drink and chat with your friends. Reservations are recommended as the place can be quite crowded.
Just went there on short-term notice. even got a table outside.Staff was very friendly and remembered the whole order (4 persons) by heart.I choose the traditional "Original Zürcher Geschnetzeltes mit Butterrösti", very nicely prepared, size of portion of OK, didn't have to wait too long.overall very nice although price rather high (CHF38.50 without drinks)

Each time I travel to Zürich I have to go on pilgrimage at the Rossweid. One of the best food in the city, with excellent wines at affordable prices. The meat is great and the service fine. A great place tostay with young children : there is a small place where they may play with sand, etc. Don't miss this superb restaurant !
