If you have the opportunity to stay at Puntagrande Hotel (or if you just stay in the area) You do not have this restaurant, both for the place and for the absolutely excellent cuisine. A great experience!

Since David Paula bought the hotel, we come to this beautiful restaurant. They bring so much love and warmth to any aspect, including the wonderful restaurant. The food is so tenderly cooked with so much taste that you can taste the love that goes into any dish. The magnificent decor is so tempting for me as a former sea captain. Memories of my former profession are everywhere. The service was spectacular and we loved the little pears Sorbet served between the main course and Dessert. The world-wide culinary experience of the chef was shown in the dazzling Thai Krug-Starter. All in all, our usual wonderful visit ended with beautiful hugs of these two, very beautiful people. Thank you. David Paula

The restaurant belongs to the Puntagrande Hotel and is very exclusive. I didn't expect such sophisticated dishes to be as far as this place. Most products are local, and the external, such as tuna, have a certificate of origin with a QR code that testifies that it has been specially fished for this restaurant. The quality and taste of the food are excellent and the service was very good. The location is wonderful and the atmosphere of the ocean makes dinner at sunset a dream. Very recommended, especially for couples.

I visit this extraordinary place for the third time since 2003: the restaurant was always closed. Again this visit! But: After a short discussion with a young lady, we could order coffee and tea. What a surprise if it serves some fine rest of the cake like a greeting from the kitchen .

This rather famous little hotel (of 2 rooms is located on a pier type outcrop and has become a sort of foodie experience, doing interesting things with food (with a level of success being subject to the individual palate and charging appropriately. We called in for lunch and were the only diners present, hence getting a table was not to difficult an issue, prior to being served by the infamous Carlos (who is nearly as well know as the hotel itself We were presented with the traditional bread with a very interesting beetroot butter and black garlic aioli, prior to (on the recommendation of Carlos ordering the tuna dish, which comprises of two strips of raw tuna with a receptacle of boiling hot oil which is to be poured over the tuna to par cook it. I eat a lot of fish, including lots of sushi and personally thought that interesting as the dish was, it didn't really work that well, it was neither here nor there, neither cooked nor raw and very oily due to the process described and tuna being a naturally oily fish. The dish was accompanied by interesting black salt flakes and some green veg. We also order prawn tempura which consisted of good meaty prawns in a number of different tempura wraps. On completion we were each presented with a complementary pear sorbet, perfectly portioned and which for a small dish was packed full of flavour, forming a perfect conclusion to the meal. The meal was a pleasant experience complemented by the attentive Carlos, however it was expensive and whilst I am very glad I experienced it, I'm not at all sure that I would be a returning diner.

Walking on El Hierro with friends, mainly coming to look at the famous small hotel. The restaurant was a welcome surprise with a delicious lunch and attentive service. Hearing the waves and strong breeze outside big windows while eating nice seafood gave (some of us) the energy for the walk back to Frontera, while the ones who had eaten a bit too much gladly accepted a lift from staff. Would certainly like to come back!
