Only stopped here for a drink, mid afternoon. Splendid location for the views and watching the world go by. And the Gin and tonic was superb; large glass plenty of ice and a very good quality Gin. Next time over and I will try a meal, as they all looked delicious on the nearby tables.Service was reasonably fast, and very friendly. The young waiter was talkative and engaging, obviously enjoying his opportunity to practice some english (far better than my smattering of Portuguese).
Num almoço em família, optámos por uma Bifana à casa, uma francesinha (que apesar de não estar na ementa, nos fizeram) e dois hambúrgueres Simples para as crianças. Os hambúrgueres são grelhados o que é mais saudável. A francesinha era muito boa, o molho era suave e estava muito bem confeccionada. A Bifana... a Bifana é única! Impressiona logo pelo seu tamanho, mas o sabor é fantástico! Recomendo vivamente! Até a vista privilegiada para a Mariana e para o Pico são fantásticas!
Já foi melhor! Há 20 anos comia-se aqui dos melhores hambúrgueres. Hoje salva-se pelo preço barato. Vale a pena desfrutar da esplanada num bom dia de sol.
Spent a great evening watching the sun set on Pico while eating well cooked food (swordfish, limpets, steaks) with good value wine and extremely friendly service. Ok, so the tables are close to the road, but the prices are good and the view and service were great. Paid nearly half the price here for the same wine we were charged 15e elsewhere. Good value, basic food served with a smile - what was not to like?!
Excellent food and really inexpensive. I got the special of the day and my husband the bifana. It was huge and very tasty.
Ok pour boire un verre. Pas pour manger. Mon hamburger était cramé, Omelette sèche. Serveur sympathique....
Not very friendly service, and disgusting food. My hamburger was completely burned and it's a mystery how they would dare to serve it. My companion had some chicken wings which were tasteless except for the ton of raw garlic that was sprinkled on top.
Busy with no respect for courteous patrons. We tried several times to get service. A cruise ship in town. No table service, only at bar to order, then delivered to the table. Even though we had a good table, and lined up at the bar, we were ignored and those that were rude and butt in got served.
