I have very fond memories on the Son Vida's main restaurant I dined there every night for weeks way back in the early when it was borderline Michelin Start quality. I decided to take my wife and dughter for a meal one...day on a recent holiday to Mallorca. I was astounded once we were seated to discover that the Saturday night was a buffet only affair (no mention of this on the website or when booking) I was close to levaving or trying to transfer our booking to the Es Vi tapas restaurant next door. But the family perused the buffet and decided we'd stay. The buffet itself is reasonably high-end, but no better than many of the Friday-brunches you would find in hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Half-lobsters and langoustines for starters, plus ham (obviously) and a sleection of tapas. About fish and meat mains (vod roasted on red peppers, fillet staek in peppercorn sauce) and an impressive array of deserts. Still this set us back a head, and by the time you've added some bottles of water, glasses of wine (bottles here cost more than other restaurants we ate in during the trip) then we were in for the most expensive meal of the trip, for probably the best food.

The panoramic view through the large windows is the big Selling Point for this upmarket restaurant at the Hotel Son Vida. The service is very good. The food traditional and good but not exceptional. Good wine list. Perfect chairs and plenty of space in a...calm Environment.

we have eaten here once they visit the hotel castillio son vida. a classic restaurant/terrace with a very beautiful view. although they have limited selection from the menu, certainly if they want to dinner several nights, quality, service, eating, wine list, everything very...good!

we had a meal in this fantastic restaurant three times during our stay, it is very good, the service is wonderful and the eating is amazing. give them an attempt, they will not be disappointed.

We ate here twice and it was outstanding both times. Very good service. Outstanding romantic views of Palma. Very courteous staff. One night we both had steak which were cooked exactly as requested and very tasty. The other I had great loin lamb chops and...my wife had fish. Both nights we had amaretto cream brunette topped with coffee ice cream which was out of this world.

My wife and I had dinner at El Castell last night. We shared the lobster and caviar cannelloni as a starter and pre ordered the mixed Paella for two as our main. Both dishes were beautiful in presentation and taste. Our host, Michel was an...outstanding general, and his staff professional. Unobtrusive but attentive to our needs. Views from dining eitherbinside our Al Fresco are out of this world. Watching the lights slowly come to life in Palma while sipping a Mallorca white wine. It doesn't get any more perfect. Two nights ago we dined at the sister restaurant of Es Vi. If we were here one more night and had to choose , it would be impossible. All I can say, make sure you try both, as they are different but both magnificent!
