"On the first day of November, half of Germany is probably on the way to escape the possible all-healing tristesse and to take another trip. Ulm is also overpopulated and flooded by tourists as on a summer holiday day. We are already calling for a place reservation at "Zur Zill" at noon, but we are assured that there are still plenty of free tables. Nothing like that. The Zill is located very close to the Münsterplatz and on the edge of the popular fishing district, directly on the Flüsschen Blau. What looks like a simple corner pub, unfolds all its charm in the interior: on a total of three levels, well-maintained renovated and well-furnished guest rooms, while in the outside area enough sunny spots on the shores of the blue attract (and on this still surprisingly warm day are glad to be used. In addition, a fine selection of spirits (the rooms also function in the evening as a bar and behind the passage to the kitchen. We're lucky and get one of the two tables on the entrance level. Since no staff can be seen for a long time, we take a seat and get ourselves a menu after 10 minutes. It is only gradually clear to us that two floors of the restaurant, together with extensive outdoor areas, are covered by two ladies who are concentrated and focused, and are very friendly at the same time, but cannot be anywhere at the same time. My respect in retrospect. On the one hand, the menu is very meat-oriented, with a plentiful vinegar around 30 Euro (drumbs, ragsteak, Black Angus Ribeye Steak , on the other hand it also offers plenty of vegetarians and vegans, salads and nice little things, such as truffle pommes or dattels with figsenf. Frequently ordered is actually a cauliflower steak, whose I will not be taken care of and which I cannot quite imagine. We sit strategically in the first row (precisely opposite the entrance to the surely galley-like kitchen and get the whole gebrutzel and Gezische, all enticing odours and odours really directly. Since we have breakfast well, our order should not be too lush. But it's easy to say. The salad with roast beef strips (17,20 euros is rich and well stocked and is accompanied by some baguette slices. The spicy cheese parrot (13.40 euros is already an impressive mountain cheese fragrance from the kitchen – and the crispy roast onions are clearly not from IKEA. It is not worth mentioning, however, that the really small supplemental salad (5.80 euros) can be enjoyed by the homemade, thick, full-bodied frits (5.20 euros). As a rather bad choice, the Cinsault Rosé (0.2 liters for 5,90 euros, clearly to herb and mad. Then a fresh yeast wheat from the Ulmer Gold Ochsen brewery (0.3 liters for 3.20 euros. At the end of coffee, a small cup (2.90 euros – it is so strong that we have to ask for extra milk. All meals are cooked in no time, bruised and beautifully dressed. Despite the growing rush in the early afternoon, everything will be on our table after 20 minutes. Less often, however, it looks at the neglected toilets, which are very fine, but are obviously lacking in care (personal emergency? . But the two ladies in the kitchen and in the service show true top performances on this holiday – once again thanks for their extremely friendly, professional and dedicated use."

"Ulm always does something like gastronomic: Culinary influences from the Swabian Alb and Upper Swabians – but don't you think you're going to taste the Allgäu somewhere? However, if you stroll through the city centre to Münster on an Easter Saturday from the railway station to the former building site, you cannot feel much from culinary art. You can see Fast Food, Kebab Buden, Allerwelts Coffeeshops, ice cream cafes and the usual one that meets you in any other city. From the crowded Münsterplatz Saturday is market day! Let's go to the north, where there's something more vivid. In the back of Rebengasse, I discover what a devastating name! a jewelleryless, insignificant entrance to the home, to which people who are constantly striving in the ground, seemingly local, strive in a targeted manner. And what's at the entrance? Heilbronnn fish house. The irritation is perfect. For is Heilbronn not entirely somewhere else? We're curious. On the ground floor there is a wonderful fish treat that we will review later. The fish restaurant extends over two floors and a small passage in the mezzanine, which, as in a silent sepiaree, is only equipped with two tables. At first glance, all tables are occupied or equipped with preserved signs. But in the upper floor, at the bottom there are still free places. The familial ambiance reminds of a well-maintained club home: simple wooden benches and tables, tightly placed together and on the upper floor you marvel over satt blue floor tiles. Everything looks very clean and clean and obsessed, by the way, to the toilets. The service ladies act like standing housewives, which can balance and at the same time create a natural cordiality and aptitude. You feel right away. The unexpectedly extensive menu leaves a formal dizzy. Fish in any shape: baked, fried, steamed and cold between two halves. Redfish, sea salmon, halibut, plaice, salmon, cod, zander, loup de mer, tuna, trout, Dorade, seaweed and much more. Also brathering, matjesfilet, herringsalate, smoked salmon, shrimp, fish soup etc. pp. Many dishes served as standard with potatoes and salads are available in two different sizes. A daily offer at a special price. Although I didn't want to eat at all this noon, because later a meeting with dinner is scheduled, I'm going to have a tempt. A small portion of Zander nature with salad 14,90 Euro. The food is on the table after a felt quarter hour, served by a benevolent, friendly smiling lady. The Zander is buttery and very finely spiced, the small side salad consists of cloned potato salad, an alibi tomato caliper, leaf salad, celery and carrot stiffs – even a little seaweed. And this, on the banks of the Danube! It tastes great. The dishes, on the other hand, are somewhat jewelleryless and unspectacular. How sad that my accompaniment can order only one herbal tea at the moment due to gastric greases. We have to come back here. Ambience and audience are inextremely grounded, no sound is disturbed, you concentrate on food and well-maintained entertainment. Also interesting are the opening hours: already at 10:30 you can enjoy the fish meal here, for this the restaurant is often closed again in the early afternoon. A table reservation seems advisable. We know that Heilbronner is a surname and the family business is to be held since 1392. Chapeau! Going out into the front? Rebengasse we look enviously at the fish counters of the shop. Feinkostsalate, Sauermarinaden, Räucherfische would also be on offer. We need to fit, because our hotel room does not even have a minibar. But we will definitely come back!"

Casa De Espana

Casa De Espana

Hauffstr. 1, 89077 Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Ulma, Germany

Ensaladas, Español, Tapas, Pez

"The Casa de Espana can only be discovered if you belong to the Spanish community or if you happen to be lost in the rather inhospitable no-man's country between Ehinger Tor and the Transitional Bridge to the railway tracks. There is no gastronomic offer to be expected in this bleak counter Ulms. The original cultural association resides on the ground floor of a multi-family house and uses the space on the longitudinal side of the building for outdoor gastronomy. The small guest room in Innern has a hearty charm of a 1950s small animal breeder's association: with linoleum floor, jewelleryless fluorescent tubes on the ceiling and simplest host house furniture. There are a few liquor bottles and cups on the shelf above the counter. The toilets are more than simple, with a common sink in the through-floor. For this, you can get inspired by the diverse range of dishes and the very charming service. The Casa de Espana is a veritable tapasbar with very reasonable prices and an attractive selection of dishes: olives, roasted almonds, fish and seafood, meat in all variations, salads in different combinations, croquets and frits, various sweets, paella and mixed dishes. At prices you have to rub your eyes wondered. A bowl of mixed salad with tuna costs 3.50 euros, a serving of wild potatoes with Salsa Brava 3,00 euros, a potato omelet 2,50 euros, a classic paella with chicken and seafood whole 8.00 euros, marinated pork lent with frits 7.00 euros. A jammer that Casa has opened on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We also beach here by chance on a lukewarm Sunday evening on the way to our accommodation. There is plenty of room for the simple beer tables (but this changes during the evening). The well-launched, sweeping service girl quickly brings the card and the ordered dishes and drinks. We are thrilled! The wine choirs are placed in simple lemonade glasses, well cooled and unfortunately with ice cubes (in my eyes an absolute no-go, but in Spain apparently as usual as I am explained). I've never heard the wine varieties used, but who's wondering? 2.80 euros for 0.3 liters are more than favorable. Then come in a quick sequence: an optically unspectacular but aromatic tomato salad (2.90 euros), a colourful mixed salad with tuna (3.50 euros), 10 tasty grilled gambas (8.50 euros), a plate with spicy Manchego cheese (7.90 euros), two mauric spikes from pig a 2.90 euros. More is unfortunately not in it. But I wonder what might hide behind the egg on flamenco species? And what are Pepitas or Musitos? Some can be admired by the side tables. Here every guest seems to be happy – whether it is a loud Spanish clique, a German tourist family with Teenie daughter or a sparing couple who loves a small salad. Tableware, glasses and cutlery are absolutely simple and not always harmonizing, but the quality of food and the impressive portion sizes are convincing. The service mantle is skillfully bilingual and acts with great charm and sweetness. A little later, when it gets full, she gets male support. We would prefer to be sitting here every evening, but on Monday we must remember the limited opening hours. Shame! Anyone who is on foot can easily try the wonderful range of wines and spirits. Car drivers will find numerous parking spaces directly on the road, but they are always quickly occupied. The railway station is just a few steps away, the Ehinger Tor tram junction as well. There you could come to the end: all (kulinarian) ways lead to Spain! Maybe on the way over Ulm."

"Our shopping tour continued to the Blautal Center. Also a shopping center of Ulm. Here we hired our car in the garage and only from the 3rd. You have to pay parking fees. There is also a classification of various food directions on a spot. If we're not used to it, we like it. Here, however, they have their own areas with seating and operation. Service Spotzl had a small fertilizer and he chose a duner. We are so accustomed to standing, ordering, taking along. We had put ourselves to the bar and wanted to order, and we were told by the Lord, we can take a seat, then they will bring us everything, we were also offered a menu. The men are all dressed in black with extra black diocese. Each of the gentlemen kindly greeted us and the Cola quickly came to the table. Here we were asked before whether to be outside or chilled. The döner also didn't wait long and he wished a good appetite. That was also a problem, and it was asked if he tasted us. That was also no problem, we got a decent bona fide and it was thanks for our visit. When we left, we were kindly adopted by the gentlemen. Very nice, attentive, friendly gentlemen. 5 Stars Food There is a gray menu with clear coats. There are various dishes with diner meat, salads and also fish. At the counter, a few offers with chalk are also written to a table. The dishes are also available to take. There are meat from the calf or turkey. There are alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks for drinking. Spotzl had a diner of veal with everything for 4.70 € and for me a cola, 0.33 l for 2.30 € The cola was served in the glass bottle with a straw. The Döner was in a bag for Döner lay on a napkin and everything together was served on a plate with imprint from the restaurant. The bun was still lukewarm and beautifully crispy roasted. It wasn't too thick and had a good reason taste. The ingredients such as iceberg salad, red onions, tomatoes, white herbs and tomatoes were all fresh. The meat was very thinly cut, buttery tender, also tasted, but we went a bit of the crispy pieces. A Zaziki sauce, which was not too thin, tasted slightly after garlic and rounded off the whole tastefully. To make it hot, there were chiliflakes at the table and they had really gotten around. The Döner has tasted us well and would we order again at any time, 4 star ambience At the counter there are bar stools in the dining area, in the rear area there is a table which is increased by one step and different large tables compared to the counter. These are made of light wood, there are different chairs. There was only one table where the same chairs were loud. But if everything isn't the same, find it right in here. On the table there is a gray shroud, salt and pepper shaker, sugar shaker, oil, beer lid in a holder, table number and a metal container with cutlery, a can with chiliflakes and white napkins. At the larger tables there are wooden boxes with fired logo from the local and there are artificial flowers. We saw some pepper mills standing around. There are still some pictures on the walls. We liked it here, 4.5 stars. Cleanliness What we could see behind the counter was all clean, tables are immediately cleaned and wiped. We could see a few dust tracks, otherwise everything was clean and well maintained. 4.5 stars."
