"... and we arrived on our Achensee stage with some delay yesterday, almost the intermediate target. The saying was above our double bed of the Business-Line room on the 4th floor of the hotel by the lake. The Lago (hotel and two restaurants to find is a bit tricky, it is located on the artificially erected lake Ulmer for the Bundesgartenschau. Only with much effort and tricks we could find public parking. In the term “Lago”, the women will surely fall into the Lago See, George Clooney, a cocktail in their hand to the grin of the “Project Peacemakers”. The gentlemen think about Lago the villain with the eye flap from “Fireball”, James Bond owed in his 4th mission. Dinner tonight should be somewhere in between. The Lago is home to 2 passable restaurants, the driveway (here exclusive as well as the Seestern Restaurant). The latter seems more likely to be known among the gourmets, it was recently awarded by Michelin with a Michelin star. And the restaurant, which is located at star restaurants, does not necessarily have to be worse than the restaurants that do not lie to a star restaurant, should be known to my 10 year old nephew. I know we're not at holidaycheck, but in a gastro portal, yet I have to go into the hotel for a short time, after all we eradicated our “break-up” breakfast, right by the lake. Breakfast (for 17 euros additionally left nothing to be desired. And if I write it that way, I mean it. It comes fucking close to our reference breakfast in Jordan(? Hotel ran, the secret hotel of Winzers Bassermann-Jordan. Also the hotel's service, the equipment of the rooms, the breathtaking view over the lake, the sleep, blinded by the moon power reflected in the water up into our room, is well remembered. The 4 floors of the hotel are decorated in the 4 colors of the Olympic Summer Games. On the penthouse floor there are wellness, sauna, relaxation room, steam bath and large panoramic windows for clotting and tackling. We also clapped in the evening when the serviceman offered us a table directly at the lake, with flaming flames. In the meantime, two kinds of bread were served. We did that in Lago Oil; sea salt and pepper. Then the main courses came. My ****-scraped ****-scraps turned like magic hand into huge mouthbags, the brown butter I missed at every cutting. The pasta shell a little too hard. Also the inner life of the mouthpieces quite boring. Standing in the map “filled with mountain cheese” was only behaved thin slices over it. Here there are no spices, the dish is too boring. But my table neighbour was thrilled. Pasta with biss, pasta with truffle and parmesan 19,90 neat truffle taste. But here, with more courage to taste, one or the other half star would have been able to get out of food. The evening had a grandiose start: Tartar vom Rind 15,90 Tartar vom Rind, nicely straight cut, slightly dressed, with bread chips, garden herbs, mustard seeds, mini corn baits was the regional cuisine ambitious by the dressing star level. The service made us in the evening to create several mistakes (and not small ones, force me to take off from the 5 stars 2.5, to add half as the breakfast service staff reacted when I had accidentally cut my palm instead of the warm bread rolls. Did I mention that guests have the opportunity to get two kinds of champagne fresh out of the tap during breakfast? The desserts were served: My banana split: (Bienenstab I tried, the “Brosseln” reminded me of the bottom of my father’s favorite cake, the bee engraving. The cream and almond chips also made me decide that I didn't get a banana split. The variation of dark chocolate with berries, on the other hand, enchanted my better half a happy smile on the lips. Shrimp, berries Full score, for it. On request, the waiter advised me “he had slipped off on the display when ordering with the wet finger” but we would also get an espresso on the house and in addition the banana split. Not the only faux pass that night. After 5 minutes a tiny banana split came. The chocolate-brownie cold (wurde forget to warm up, I can't imagine that all this should be cold on the plate, with such a claim of the propellant, a small tablespoon full of chocolate cream and banana chisp (also cold . I mean remember that on the map stood “freshly caramelized banana slices”, which was definitely not. Conclusion: For dinner we have paid about 100 euros, for the experience, four-five handful too much, in my humble opinion. Sure, the star restaurant is right next to it, and the guests have a view of the lake, but overall this was not a good price for the bids. My better half then also meant, next time again the Lago Hotel, dinner then in Ulm."
