Had lunch here for the first time.I decided on the honey chicken and friend the beef and black bean with some dim sims. Both meals presented well. The honey chicken was average, the batter used had zero flavour and only tiny pieces of chicken inside. There was too much batter it was more like eating one of those honey puff things you get from a greek festival. The beef and black bean was better, great flavour, big serving and served very hot. The dim sims steamed were good, good taste, cooked perfectly, no chewy bits and served hot. Service was friendly. You can see into the kitchen and looks cluttered but clean. The actual restaurant appears clean. This restaurant is nothing fancy, it seems...

Went to this little Chinese cafe at Varsity lakes after buying a deal on Living Social, it was for an entree a main meal and a dessert. None of it was edible. The dim sims were cold, the lemon chicken was roar with a jarred lemon sauce, the rice tasted nasty, the sweet and sour pork tasted like gristle with vegetables that were hard as rocks, they werent even hot, they were that under cooked. It was very poor food indeed and I didnt eat any of it, in fear of getting poisined from very undercooked food. The banana fritter came out cold with no syrup. I dont know how a fried banana can be cold but it was, stone cold. Staff were friendly, service was quick, if they had of taken a bit longer coo...

We've eaten in the restaurant at lunch before and quite enjoyed our meal, it wasn't AMAZING, but was certainly above average....Takeaway however was very disappointing. First of all the Sweet & Sour chicken we ordered was ridiculously soggy.... almost as if it had been microwaved.... 1 forkful and straight in the bin... goodbye $15!Secondly, the singapore noodles were without any meat/seafood that is normally included, basically just noodles with curry powder... another waste of $15!!If you're looking for a decent eat-in restaurant in varsity this is pretty good, however when it comes to takeaway you're probably best gong to Night Owl, buying some $2 ramen noodles and $3 prawn crackers and s...

We were recommended this place but was bitterly disappointed. Firstly, the chicken and sweet corn soup was so watered down with about 1 teaspoon of chicken, hardly no corn and looked and tasted like dirty dish water. The sweet and sour pork looked microwaved, pork was soggy and not crisp and crunchy and the sauce was bland. The fried duck with lemon sauce was so bad we took one mouthful and threw the rest in the bin. The prawn toast tasted like garlic and looked like it had been deep fried a couple of times. The best thing was the fried rice. It actually looked and tasted ok. So do yourself a favour and give this place a wide berth. Oh yes it was a takeaway as well. Reserva una mesa ahora

I had the misfortune of viewing this restaurant's kitchen from the staff entry on a couple of occasions after I had eaten there. Filthy dirty. I have no idea why the local Government health inspectors have not shut this place down. They smoke in the kitchen and there are hundreds of eggs kept at room temperature and way above room temperature right next to hot gas jets! Talk about salmonella waiting to happen. The food I was served was inedible and boy was there a fuss when I asked for my money back. Because the area is filled with University students, the owners/operators think they can get away with serving slop. Sad. Really sad.

If a place strikes out more than once - as in, while I'm eating my meal (that I don't enjoy) I regret my decision to dine there - I pledge never to return .. Iv eaten 1 good, 1 average and 2 bad meals from 101 kitchen ... Weirdly enough, each time I ordered the same dish ... Which just shows how inconsistent they are. To be more specific, I ordered their Asian chicken curry // you know when it's 'bad' because it's very very watered down and literally tastes as though curry powder and water has even mixed with veg and chicken -- not ideal. The place never looks 100% clean either which puts me off....

Surprised by some of the previous comments. Yes you can see into the kitchen and it looks pretty messy but for me mess and dirt and two different things. The food I had was very nice and I'm back again to try more recipes. Writing this review while I wait outside. Dumplings were nice though had maybe sat for a while which caused the thicker joins to go a bit hard. Beef and Chinese mushroom dish was excellent. Been very disappointed with Chinese options on the Gold Coast so far with only yum cha robina being a regular. Hopefully this will be another one of they can keep consistency.

Popular chinese restaurant that does a lot of takeaways as well. Lovely lady serving and keeping up with orders. We sat and had our tea, and got our leftovers to take home, no problem. Good value for money, worth a visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant is 1 mins walk from my holiday accommodation. Closed at 10:00pm, super convenience. Chinese food tastes good, price is reasonable. Recommended.
