Each taco was topped with pickled red onion and mild salsa, but unfortunately, they were a bit dry. To make matters worse, the last taco I tried had a strand of hair in it (which definitely didn’t belong to either me or my partner), and it was quite off-putting. We also tried the vegan ceviche from Cactus, which had more flavor, though it could have used a few more tostada shells to balance out the disproportionate amount of ceviche.

Atmosphere: The bar is situated right in the middle of the café. Menus are displayed at the bar, and we took some of the available seats at the counter. You can also place your order at the counter and sit at one of the nearby tables to enjoy your drink. Walter was our bartender! We always make it a point to stop by after spending a couple of hours in the gardens. I finally discovered something I can enjoy here! I have this little guilt when eating at the food court, not because of the price, but because it's so delicious. My husband always orders the three taquitos plate, which looks amazing, but I have to be mindful of what I eat on certain days of the week. We visited on a Monday, and I chose a chicken burger with grilled vegetables from the grill. It turned out to be a satisfying and tasty lunch option. I'm happy to have found a new favorite for our trips to The Huntington!
I truly appreciate the range of food choices at this café! Every visit, I feel tempted to try everything on the menu. The dishes are fresh and skillfully made, and the staff is always friendly. I especially loved my taco and aguachile bowl. The Whiskey Bramble cocktail was so tasty that I took a picture of the menu to recreate it at home. While sitting outside is enjoyable, it can get a bit too warm during the summer. Luckily, the indoor seating is just as pleasant.
In terms of flavor, it was decent, although the grilled chicken had a rather subtle taste. The Protein Box, which included chicken breast, cheese, almonds, and a hard-boiled egg, was straightforward. However, the grilled chicken breast was slightly overcooked, resulting in a milder taste. Everything else met my expectations.
Overall, the takeaway section was incredibly convenient and quick, and given the circumstances, I found the prices to be quite reasonable.
This restaurant is fantastic, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The negative reviews seem to come from entitled individuals who believe they know better and expect to be pampered. It was surprising to witness some of the arrogance and ignorance among certain customers. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you from visiting; you’re likely to have a great experience as long as you keep an open mind.

I visited this restaurant before going on a tour and I was quite hungry since I had skipped breakfast. When you’re on an empty stomach, not much looks appealing. It’s the first restaurant on the left as you enter the gardens. The food was decent, but my pizza was a bit cold instead of warm, and I wish they had a wider variety of options on the menu.
A wide variety of freshly prepared dishes is available. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, and there are also vegan options on the menu.
