Staff was nice and the vibe is chill. The food LOOKS amazing and the portions are huge, but thats it. All the food we ordered was bland and mostly flavorless. My cuban sandwich was dry and not enjoyable. I spent a few years in south Florida, so myexpectations are pretty high anyway. The mac w/ brisket was blah. The fish tacos were flavorless even after adding lime. Thefried chicken sandwich had flavor but nothing memorable. The fries were pretty delicious, similar to In-N-Out fries. The beerwas great and plenty to choose from. All in all, I'd probably never go back unless im invited to meet with friends. Otherwise,i hope it was just a fluke of a night for their sake.
I am very happy to have finally tried this restaurant. They offer a good variety of vegan options and stay open later than most, which is a big plus. They also have outdoor seating available. I tried the Vegan Pizza and the This is Just the Veganning sandwich, both of which were delicious. The vegetables were not soggy and had a good flavor. I appreciated the use of cashew cheese on the pizza, although it could use a bit more seasoning. The sauce and dough were excellent. My only complaint is that the music playing was not to my liking, but as they say, every band has its fans.
They took away many of the outdoor seating they had in place during the pandemic. I called ahead for a party of 12 to sit outside. They said they only take reservations for 15, but if I came around 5pm there should be no problem. We arrived at 5,there was plenty of seats but the waiter said there's no way to fit more than 6 people outside because all the tables were smallones... What the.... We decided to go to Sena on Myrtle down the street who were clear about the seating and we weren't lied to.
Although there was a slight issue when asking about putting on a game, my Cuban sandwich was delicious and filling. The bread was good, the meat was tasty, and it came with a mixed greens salad and yummy chips. The restaurant had lots of TVs, but unfortunately they did not have NBA TV. However, the food was still good. The service was okay, and the atmosphere was decent. There was plenty of parking available. Overall, it was a good dining experience. Great low key place with outdoor patio. We ate an amazing brunch here. Great service from a very nice server. for that too! This is a brunch favorite! Get the Polenta Cake Pulled Pork Benedict (pictured in this review) or the Brisket and Eggs (Iforget the fancy names they created on the menu for these items but that is what they are)! Both were excellent! I’mdefinitely coming back! Nice indoor open feel bar area indoors as well. Thanks 38 Degrees!
We tried the Killer Tofu, the vegan Brussel sprout tacos, and vegan pizza at this restaurant. All of them were delicious. We were particularly pleased to see vegan options in every section of the menu. There are still a few more vegan dishes on offer that we will have to come back and try.
