We thoroughly enjoyed our recent warm, early summer evening on a west facing and shaded patio savouring neapolitan style pizza, caprese salad and Peroni on tap. The pizzas, a cowboy and house special, were good value at $18 each and as good as anywhere in Calgary. The salad displayed great tomatoes as to taste and appearance with a large serving of cheese in the middle of the plate . The very experienced server was excellent and he could be characterized as providing european bistro service: efficient, prompt, attentive and unobtrusive. It was understandably busy on a Tuesday evening with a following that will now be increased by two.
Stopped in at 500 Cucina for a delicious Friday lunch. Service was casual (maybe a little too much so) but the food was delicious. Started with calamari appetizer which was fabulous. Entrees were an insalata mista with prawns and a pasta with chicken in a delicious cream sauce. Both meals were great and the plates showed skill and care from the chef. The pizzas looked great and next time we'll try one. The beer on tap was a bit pricey at $8.50 and the 2" head of foam is unnecessary. A little more care in pouring would be appreciated. The food will bring us back.
went back to cucina tonight because we enjoyed it so much about 6 months ago.should have stayed home instead. despite a well intentioned waiter, the appetizer went awol until it eventually arrived with our meal, each of our four meals came at different times, and the quality was iffy at best. close to one hour from ordering to first meal arriving. asked waiter for something/anything to go with our wine while we waited. although essentially a pizza place, cucina couldn't even pull off a little bread.what a shame. steer clear
Some of the cocktails were excellent, and the appetizers, pizza and pasta are very good. They have a comfortable patio that and receives a lot of light, and live entertainment inside (on the weekends I think). I went here a couple weeks ago, then a couple days later to get the diavolina pizza and truffle mushroom appetizer because they were so delicious. Overall good experiences!

We had a great dinner at this establishment. We had the meatballs and the 500 fries and they were excellent. The main courses of penne & lasagne where very tasty. Great drinks and nice salted cheesecakes made for a perfect end to the evening. The waiter was very polite and provided great service. We will be back.
Love it! UPDATE: new chairs- fantastic. My favourites are the arincini and the 500 fries. Everything is made to order which is amazing when you have allergies or dietary concerns. Live music lends itself to create a beautiful atmosphere.
The pizza was unappetizing and disgusting. It was cold and soggy. Overall, it was a disappointing and regrettable dining experience. The pizza was poorly cooked, badly made, and of inferior quality.
I recently went to this restaurant for dinner and was impressed by the interior and the patio area. The restaurant is located on a corner, allowing for plenty of beautiful natural light to come in.

Have been here twice.Really great atmosphere and great food. Live music was also a treat. Would return to this restaurant. Good location as well.
