This is a superb restaurant! It was featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I went for dinner and it did not disappoint. The food is very tasty!! Try the char-grilled oysters or the fried pickles or the fried green tomatoes or the brisket Reuben or the shrimp and grits. All are delicious. They have a good selection of beers, including some tasty ales. The service was very prompt and friendly. They have a great music play list. The prices are reasonable. If you are anywhere close to Nashville, then definitely take a detour to the historic center of Franklin (south) to enjoy this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

I've been here for years. Now we come weekly, sometimes 2-3 times a week. The food is AMAZING (must taste the devil eggs and the house made pickles) and the drinks leave you speechless. The entire staff is friendly and AMAZING. Look at Mark, Jenna and Eric at the bar. Each of them will feel you at home and as part of the family. Cheese

Stumbled upon 55 South while walking around downtown Franklin and I'm so happy we did! Sat outside with our pup and enjoyed delicious sweet potato fries,

We always get the shrimp in a bag- so incredible. Unusual New Orleans menu. We order extra toast for the shrimp and we split the order. Yum
