This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I paid $30 for a large 3-topping pizza that took 50 minutes to make, while the staff told my family and me, and I quote, "Don't give a F, they can wait!" I placed the order in person, paid in cash with a tip, and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. However, after waiting for 35 minutes, I was finally told my pizza was in the oven and would be done in 5 minutes. It ended up taking a total of 50 minutes for my order to be ready, and I was not offered any compensation for the long wait or for the disrespectful treatment my family and I received. We traveled from Greenfield, MA to visit Walmart and stumbled upon this restaurant while stopping at the liquor store. Realizing we should grab a bite before hitting Walmart, we decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered a medium extra cheese pizza, sausage pizza, shrimp basket, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeño poppers. Everything was delicious. The fried shrimp was particularly outstanding - some of the best I've ever had. We look forward to returning someday!
I am baffled by the fact that A-1 currently has one 4-star two 5-star reviews. A-1 serves up some of the greasiest pizza that I have had the misfortune of eating. Their sauce is bland, their crust is thick soggy. If you are in the Hinsdale area looking for some pizza, you'd be better off getting in your car driving to Keene for pizza from Amicci's or Ramunto's.

Very rude guy who takes the orders. I tried to order a salad and he was so rude and dismissive I said never mind and I walked back out the door. We have gotten food here 3 times and he has always been cocky and rude but today sealed the deal. We will NEVER go back and will be telling our fellow neighbors.
This place is awful, just keep on heading to Brattleboro or up to keene if in need of pizza. It's the kind of pizza place that when you ask for a side of marinara with a calzone, it's a meat based sauce. Watching my wife choke that up was wonderful, thanks for the memories A-1!
Hinsdale's A1 is a must-visit restaurant. The wait staff is extremely accommodating and the owner, Elena, is a delight. Along with her husband Mike, they prioritize customer satisfaction, but above all, they focus on serving delicious food, which they excel at.
Just like the one in Winchester. Don't go there the food is nasty and overpriced. Greasy pizza worst around. Go buy a frozen pizza you will be doing yourself a huge favor.

Awesome food, love the steak and cheese grinders here. The owner who takes the orders is very lively. If your easily rubbed the wrong way this is not the place for you.
Friendly staff. The fried pickles are delicious. Quick service. Girlfriend got the steak and cheese grinder and said it was excellent.
