This is my go-to fish and chip shop in the neighborhood. I have always had a positive experience here, with consistently delicious food. I have been a customer for 22 years since I moved to the area. Today, I was the first in line when they opened, and I ordered the Cod Chips for £9, which I believe is a great value compared to other takeout restaurants. Both the cod and chips were freshly prepared and tasted amazing. The two staff members working that day were friendly and polite. I highly recommend this fish and chip shop and will definitely be returning in the future. I give this place a 5-star rating!
We had been working late, so a takeaway seemed in order. After looking at Trip advisor, we decided on A C. A great choice. I am a bit fussy and like my fish cooked fresh to order, AC were happy to oblige. Excellent piece of skinless cod, beautifully cooked. I’m glad I didn’t didn't order the large chips, the standard portion was generous. The serving staff were also very personable. A delightful experience. Thank you.
This fish and chip shop in Banbury and the surrounding area is hands down the best and most consistently good. It surpasses the declining shop in Shipston and even outshines the recently improved shop in Wellesbourne (although their chips are quite good). The fish at A&C's is exceptional, almost like a work of art. Absolutely fantastic. Please, do not ever change. It is definitely worth the drive.
This restaurant is the place to go if you're looking for Fish and Chips to take away. They serve the biggest cod and chips in the UK, as well as pies and sausages. I traveled all the way from New York just to try their Fish and Chips, and I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and has a great sense of humor. I will definitely be returning.

I don’t often eat traditional fish chips....but I’m now a convert, the fish was tasty and flakey beautifully cooked the batter crispy and light. The chips were plentiful, probably too many, next time I think we’ll share a portion of chips .
Driven past a few times and was pleasantly surprised. Quick friendly service and the Haddock and Chips were very good. In fact the haddock was massive and could have been a whale!! Will definitely use again!
Been going to this chippy for 30 or so years. The food is always excellent and the staff are friendly and very hard working. I plan to go today! The lunchbox is a meal that two can share.
My chips were freshly fried and delicious! Accompanied by a very tasty veggie spring roll, curry sauce and mush peas! Cant wait to get back to Banbury again for another helping!
