We arrived at the restaurant for our Sunday lunch reservation, but were disappointed to find that our table had not been properly prepared despite informing the bar staff of our booking. I had to inquire about the food arrangements and table setting myself. We were directed to the carvery for a selection of beef, turkey, and pork with various sides. While the variety of vegetables was good, some were clearly frozen and not freshly prepared. The meat, however, was tender and delicious. Although the price was reasonable, I would have gladly paid more for higher quality ingredients and preparation. We were staying in Sennybridge for a night after climbing Pen Y Fan and the proprietor recommended here for a meal. I'm glad we decided to go with his recommendation. The pub is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely! We both had a 2 course meal. Lasagne for me and a steak for my partner. Everything was freshly cooked and really tasty. The added bonus was that pints are on special offer on a Monday night until 9pm so it was also good value for money!

We came here in the evening for some drinks with friends. The restaurant may seem unassuming from the outside, but it is lovely inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially since we were a group of 10 university students with lively drinking preferences. We had a really enjoyable time overall.

Absolutely brilliant. Warm welcome. Friendly atmosphere. Interested bar staff. Great local advice on where to visit and funny fun chatter. Food is fantastic and plentiful. Stopped here after a hike in the forest. Did not disappoint. Did not book ahead but accommodating none the less. Charming little village pub with amazing food. Would definitely go back!

We visited as a family for a Sunday Carvery. Wow one of the best roast dinners I’ve had and plenty of choice of what you could have. I will be back again for another visit soon
