Aberfoyle Hub Tavern

The Hub Tavern is the closet hotel to us, and we have probably visited at least 30 times in the past few years, so I thought it only fair to post an overall reviewThe restaurant doesn't generally provide "average" meals, then again neither are they consistently "very good" (by TripAdvisor classification) so the Hub gets 3.5 starsThe service is always prompt, and we have only had the odd disappointing meal in all of our visitsThere are set days when meal deals are available, and some of the specials have been excellent. A decent wine list and very reasonably pricedWe will continue to keep going, very little has changed in terms of quality despite changes in ownership over the years

great time every time. on Friday evening with me mrs to celebrate our jubilee only to find out it was bikini girl at night (bit freky ay) only problem was it minutes before the kitchen closed and I was a **** tent under the table so that I tryna hide it until I went a bit down to order, just to say it was too late to order as well as I would recommend that I should come out. I was already a couple of times with the young (like the mrs I was at work haha bite freky) and it was nice every time, I can not thank them enough for a parmy paid and it meets the place every time, and the carlton beer tastes super directly from the hahn every time.

The surroundings were very pleasant and there is an enclosed kids' play area. We went with friends on a Sunday for lunch. The menu was good with reasonable prices.The waitress service was very good, but food service was really slow (we were beginning to wander if they had lost our order). When the food finally arrived it was below average. My chicken schnitzel with meat-lovers sauce was overcooked with only a small amount of sauce. The chips were hot but under-cooked and greasy. My husband's fish combination was okay but the chips were overcooked and only warm. We will not be returning.

Ate here with friends one lunchtime in March. Just schnitzels, fish and chips etc off the lunch menu. This is one of those taverns a little off the beaten track but definitely worth a look. The food was of excellent quality, generous portion sizes, fresh salads, great mains and good chips. The beers were not expensive as some other nearby venues. The tavern is smart, nice decor, airy and light, and comfortable. With smiling and helpful (and funny) staff and quick service it is a good spot. At the last minute my wife and I d cited to dine out. Having not been to the Hub Tavern I was keen to give it another try. We both chose the special which was a poretrhouse steak with calamari. The meal was delivered promptly and the steak wa cooked to perfection. There was an ample salad on the side with crispy fries and a pot of gravy of our choice. A terrific meal for only $24.95 each. Excellent value.

Passing through and my daughter decides she needs a schnitzel for lunch. We went to the Hub tavern. Apart from a bit of a wait to be seated (which with 6 people in restaurant you should just be able to choose your own seat) our meals came out really quickly and we were full when we left. Food was great.

Went a couple of weeks ago and forgot to do a review. Had 2 great rump steaks , we were both very impressed , beautiful steak ,hot lovely chips and the best pepper sauce . Planning to take our grandson tomorrow , 10 years old and loves a medium rare steak with pepper sauce x

The food and service was good, unfortunately the room was very noisy and it was difficult to have a co versation unless the person was next to you. The prices were mid range Reserva una mesa ahora

cutla beer with the young, good beer, eating was sub par not a smile at the whole place not a good atmosphere.

they have been here several times in the family. eating is consistently above average for a pub menu.
