This being the old site of Michael Restaurant the location is good across and south the Metro Station Indian Hill . The interiors quite stark cold grey floor and wall finishes . The coat closet with sliding doors with graphic chevron grey on grey can be seen in the main dining. not desirable as it was also storage for chairs etc. This could have been located in the ancillary corridor providing a nice blank wall for ART to warm up the spatial environment. The waiter should not be standing next to the host podium almost adjacent to the next table luckily was empty to wait on service. The rabbit and sage sausage starter was outstanding! And I would say the same for my coq au vin. . My favorite chicken is still Daniel Humm's in New York, but this is absolutely my second favorite! My husband had the bass and he raved about that also. We shared the flan dessert and it was lovely. I can't wait to go back there were so many things on the menu I want to try. One critic said it was very loud but we didn't find it loud at all very easy to have a conversation. The tables were a little too close together we thought the ones along the back wall, that is. once again enjoyed the excellent kitchen at aboyer. with good friends we enjoyed the gougeres (cheese sheds) and agnolotti (escargot) with the brotservice. wow. for Entree’s we had the loup de mer, the lamb chopper, the berkshire pork and the cassoulet (cover, lamb, bohnen.) the cassoulet was a bit dry but very tasty and others were excellent. both couples shared the delicious dark chocolate gateau to dessert. a noth shore edelstein. Try it! we're safe back.

michael always has a preference for oversalt; my duck jam (day special) wasn't taken. because I often brought out town visitors both aboyer and silencieux (and earlier restaurant michael), I was disappointed - especially as one of my three guests hangar steak was not done at their very level.

Small intimate place with good food and a nice by the glass wine selection which is good for those married to non-drinkers. Food is visually appealing and tastes great. Staff are formal and friendly. Chef is personable and visits customers at their tables.

Food was great although price was a bit on the high side, seating was cramped and the music was also a bit loud. We would got back as the service and food made up for any issues we had.
