There are not too many Ethiopian restaurants around. There was one in New Brunswick on George Street but that close down some time ago. When we found this one in Asbury we just had to go. I would heavily recommend this restaurant. The food is amazing and perfectly spiced. In addition to the food being delicious, the big surprise is when the bill came. This is a BYOB however when I was handed the bill I was amazed to see there wasn't a one in front of the number. We walked out of there fully stuffed and the bill didn't even crack three digits. Not a fan the second time around! I came here last summer and was blown away by the food but this time, I was sadly disappointed both by the food and the service. We ordered the shareable vegetarian platter and they gave us the incorrect vegetable entree. Upon informing them, the waitress came by and scooped it off of our shareable platter after we had already started eating. It was pretty strange to me because I thought they would take it back to the kitchen, replace the entree and bring it back out. I felt like that was poor service on their part. The shareable platter for two was not enough for two but it was also not the best tasting either.

Food was good and had large portions, but the overall experience left much to be desired. For eating there on a Saturday, I wished there was music playing in the restaurant and that the staff had been a bit more knowledgeable/descriptive of the menu items. Still would recommend checking it out for a casual lunch if you like trying new foods.

Such wonderfully delicious food! We got all kinds of Ethiopian platters and all 6 of us were so happy. Well seasoned and so tasty! Spacious restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Went early on a Friday and there was a nice table available for us. The owner even came by to check on us. Wonderful staff, wonderful place! Go here! Reserva una mesa ahora

My teen son and I went to Ada's and enjoyed the injera tibs, Tostones with shrimp and the Cubano sandwich. We love Everything! The food, service and the atmosphere was great!!! Definitely come back again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The food is spectacular but the hours listed are wrong apparently. I was just turned away for dinner at 7:30pm. Very disappointed to come all this way and not be able to eat.

Flavors are amazing. If you have never tried Ethiopian food do yourself the favor and stop here! You wont regret it!
