Nevada County local, born and raised yet somehow I've been sharing a chicken cheese steak sandwich with my 15 month old and we both LOVED it! The frits here are some (if not the) the best in the city! Crowded, but we found seats outside and enjoyed lunch with family. The outdoor seating area is simply secluded and private enough to keep it from eating in front of Kmart, as the backdrop is small pine. Place is busy and it is well deserved, but the parking lot is generous and the workers move quickly, but also attentive to detail. Have you ever finished a sandwich, and were immediately devastated that you finished the sandwich? This is my experience every time I eat in Afternoon Deli. That's why I always save my frits for last not only are they the most tasty frits in Nevada County, they also help to ease the pain of the lack of this delicious sandwich. If I'm honest, the staff always seems to be stressed... but maybe it's just because they're always super busy because they're amazing. Many vegan options, alternatives and staff are very knowledgeable how to make substitutions to all dietary needs. Thanks for the true joy we all need in the afternoon

Idk how many people have worked in the service industry or cooked for a living but this place is so awesome. The negative reviews are definitely from people that don't know how to eat out, order, or just plain not have an RBF100. when the place gets packed it takes longer for your order. Idk if short staffed but I know it's low maintenance considering it's ordering still style. Still this place always puts a smile on my face and a happy stomach every time

Order Afternoon Chicken Clubhaus $10.25 . Yum! My first time here and the service plus food are great! The sandwich was not simped on any ingredients especially avocado! . Bacon is crispy and the chicken tender. French Pommes remind me of Give Guys. Easy crispy, but muddy on the inside. Very delicious. Looks like they have burgers and gyros. I'll come back to try her soon!

Fantastic small Mediterranean place. Falafel, gyros, tatziki, hummus, dolmas, spanikopita, baclava, halva... And the French fries are perfect. Delicious food, friendly staff, fair prices, beautiful terrace. A relatively unknown treasure, but actually from the beaten path.
