Had a great late lunch at Ajax Diner. We were fortunate to miss the lunch rush and got a booth right away. We ordered the Ronzo Salad with Creole Mustard Vinaigrette, which was really different and quite good. The smoked catfish is subtle but hearty bout server described it as a satisfying salad and I would whole heartedly agree. We also had the fried catfish and added red beans and rice, butter beans and jalapeño corn bread. The catfish was crispy and perfectly cooked, the red beans had a nice kick, the butter beans were seasoned just like your grandmother used to make and the cornbread had just a bit of sweetness and a nice crumb. One final shoutout, if you’re into Arnold Palmers, I highly...

The food is some of the best you will ever eat. Lots of atmosphere. If it is busy, make sure you follow the unwritten rules of getting a table. Wait in line and wait your turn. The waitresses don't seat you the customers seat themselves. Don't try to be a wise guy and butt ahead of someone who has been waiting longer than you. YOU WILL GET CALLED OUT ON IT. Trust me we have done it.
If you ver go there I recommend to try their Mac and Cheese, is really good. They have a big selection of different beers, from international to local beers. The corn bread very tasty, service was amazing and quick.
Good country cooking. Fantastic menu with unlimited generous sides. Come as you are and leave happy and satisfied. Leave your tooth pick in the ceiling. Reserva una mesa ahora
Absolutely no doubt, Ajax is a top 3 food joint in Oxford, and my personal favorite. If you can only eat at one place while in town, eat here.
My second time in here and the food was great, home cooking…server Zoey was great given we were a large party! Definitely will be back again!
Some of the best county cooking I've had at a restaurant! Most definitely recommended! Will be back with my wife!
A great little place for lunch. Vegetable plate was pretty good but squash casserole was too spicy. Reserva una mesa ahora
