Wow. Akari is amazing. I was in the area with a friend and decided to try it out after seeing it listed on Yelp. The restaurant has recently reopened for dine-in with tables spaced for social distancing, a takeout area, and all staff wearing masks. The menu offers a variety of specialty rolls, nigiris, and other Japanese dishes. I had a difficult time choosing what to order because everything looked so delicious. I ended up trying the yam crunch roll and hot night roll, both of which were absolutely delicious. The rolls were packed with flavor and reasonably priced at $11-13 each. The quality of the sushi, affordable prices, and excellent service make Akari one of my new favorite sushi spots...

Akari is situated in a strip mall and offers great value in terms of price, quality, and portion size. I ordered the California combo with an additional chop scallop roll, and was impressed by the generous serving sizes. The California roll was notably larger than what I've had at other Japanese restaurants. My favorite dish was the gomae, which had plenty of delicious sauce. The spicy roll was also a hit, with a generous amount of salmon. While the service was just okay, the staff seemed reluctant to provide a pot of tea at first. I have been coming to Akari since moving to the area about 15 years ago. This is the best sushi place around Surrey and North Delta. The fish is so fresh and melts in your mouth. They have the best specialty rolls out there! So many options. Tonight we decided to go bento box as we both felt like a warm meal. Ordered the special box which had a nice assortment. Love the chicken karaage. Gyoza was not cooked well. A little crunchy on the outside rather than cooked and crispy. Also had the seafood bento box. Fish was amazing and the smoked salmon roll was so good! Service was a bit lacking this time around, had to flag her a few times but normally its good.

First visit here last night. It was excellent. Good food, good Service. Took a friend for dinner and really enjoyed it. Lots of variety in the menu. Started with Steamed Edamame and Plum Wine. Both were delicious. We all ordered the Large Combination Dinners so we could try a sampling. We all took enough home for a second meal. Looking forward to another visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

We love Akari as our favorite Japanese restaurant because it consistently delivers top-notch quality, excellent service, and is definitely worth the price! The sushi is consistently fresh, the appetizers are so filling they could be a meal on their own, and they have a fantastic selection of menu items.

Great Japanese restaurant. They have fast service too. Besides that, their servings are huge. Food was served fast and it was all filling. I love Salmon Kama and I think they make the best one too. We will surely be back!

Their sushi and service was fantastic! I enjoyed their sushi rolls, tempura and salmon sashimi was delicious! I wasn't able to take photos as I went there with colleagues and was too busy talking to one another.

Best Japanese food in the Delta/Surrey area. Not authentic Japanese but it's close. Clean, good friendly service.

Good japanese food! Their tempuras were very crispy and fresh, servers were also friendly. Would come back!
