Akashi Asian Bistro Sushi Bar is a hidden gem in Kingwood, TX. I've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is reliably great. I especially love the sushi, which is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The rolls are always perfectly sized and packed with flavor. The sashimi is also a must-try, as it is always melt-in-your-mouth tender. I ordered the Kung Pao shrimp bento box, and it was just okay—slightly above average. I enjoy having extra peanuts with this dish, but I was charged $1.00 for an additional five peanuts. The fried rice was decent and had some pieces of chicken in it, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the server only checked on us once, just to drop off the check. There were only two customers in the entire restaurant, myself included. However, their sushi always meets my expectations!

Everything I've tried here has been excellent—except for the fried rice, surprisingly. It appeared and tasted as if it had been left out all day or had been re-fried multiple times.
