Happened to be traveling through, and we decided to try Alina’s. Truly enjoyed the SHRIMP FRA DIAVOLO (nice and spicy), MAMA’S MEATBALLS (light and tasty),, ALINA’S LINGUINE (packed with seafood), a beautifully plated CAESAR SALAD that I had to split with wife and a side of creamy risotto Milanese. The ambiance is very homey and traditional. They have a piano bar on Tuesdays, I believe. Victor the waiter was awesome. He treated us as if we were his only table. Wished us well on our journey. An extraordinary restaurant. You are greeted by one of the owners, Maritza, as if you were family. She never forgets a name, and always greets me as Hi Alan. They have live piano music on Tuesdays and Weekends, but you must reserve ahead for the Piano Room. Try to get Edward Brainerd whose piano playing is incredible. The other room is very cozy and lovely, but without the live music. The waiters are fantastic and one of them, nicknamed Frenchy, not only remembers my name, but also my birthday!!! My wife and I enjoyed celebrating our 39th Wedding Anniversary courtesy of my Mom at Alina's in Hadley. We had their special 3 course dinner of dinner rolls and salad, Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes, and zucchini and squash, and a cannoli. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and melted in your mouth. I even got my Mom's doggie box for the next day. Our server was most attentive, constantly checking with us and the bus boy was filling water glasses regularly.
Early dinner before a show. Not busy at 5, but full be the time we left. Recommend reservation. Waiter was attentive and enthusiastic but a little hard to follow. Food was clearly cooked to order so took a bit of time. My husband had daily special fettuccini; I had chicken piccata risotto. Everything was perfectly prepared light and flavorful. Was crowded and loud, but usually crowded places are that way for a reason, so we put up with it and the wait and we were well rewarded for it! We went on a Tuesday date night steal of a deal! and everything was absolutely amazing, and our waitress took such good care of us!! Calamari was good, tiramisu was excellent, Convict's pasta was to die for! Definitely going again!!!!!!!!!!!
The food certainly had a pretty presentation but I had horrible stomach cramps and food poisoning when I got home. Perhaps a dirty utensil or undercooked meat, as it is dark in there. I only eat once a day so, it could only have come from there. Totally overpriced, with a crowded and rushed atmosphere. The best part was the jazz piano player.
Awesome as usual! My wife and I really enjoy the excellent food here, the exceptional staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend Alina 's for a perfect night out for dinner. Enjoyed the Date Night special offering on Tuesdays which includes a bottle of wine, app, salad, entre and a shared desert. Great value.
