Al-jamil - Reserva de mesa

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening and found that about half of the tables were available. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I have had two wonderful experiences here and plan to return next time I am in Pontefract. It's worth noting that starting in February, the restaurant will no longer be licensed, so patrons will need to bring their own alcohol.

Oh dear, this as got to be the worst meat biryani with uncooked onion slop ive ever had, It smells disgusting. The onion bhaji's, just rings with unspiced batter, what's that about.? Chicken Tikka, well, tasteless tikka. Everthing I got went in the bin. What a waste of money that was. Never will I get another from there. How people can give that a good rating gets me!, obviously they haven't been anywhere else for a curry.

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim. It was okay but nothing special. I ordered a mild dish and was disappointed to find it was too spicy. I had to ask twice for water, even though it wasn't very busy at the time. I wasn't offered dessert or coffee. The restaurant would benefit from having tablecloths to complete the decor. I won't be returning as it didn't feel special enough for me.

eat very nice, as table of 5 we have ordered all different things and everyone said that eating is nice. reasonable price, although half price due to the kovid. 1 star taken off as part of the meal of a friend who was slightly undercooked. otherwise beautiful place with friendly staff on the hand. would go again. Just ordered from al jamil and it was horrendous, inedible, the pilau rice had an awful odour, meal dry and claggy. Never again will I order from there, really gobsmacked and dissapointed. I left the entire meal. I feel I'll at the thought if it.

I came to this restaurant on a whim and regret it. I have never seen onion bhajis like the ones here before. The main dishes were just average. I will not be returning.

Refuse to go anywhere else! Love this place, never had a bad meal. Really friendly staff, will do anything for you. 100% worth a visit

It's not the cleanest place in town, the last time we visited it had food on the floor from the previous evening. But the food is ok.
