After searching online for what was considered the best Döner in Stüttgart, we decided to seek out Alaturka. It was just a fifteen minute uphill walk from the Hauptbahnhof area. When we arrived on a Saturday around the seating area was full and there...was a relatively short line. As we waited, the line grew... and it didn’t move very fast. As we watched, we could see how each order both eat in and carry out was carefully yet very quickly prepared to order, with fresh Döner meat, grilled vegetables and crisp, chewy flatbread constantly being restocked on the line. An order of magnitude better than any other doner I've ever had, but the wait can be significant. Unlike most places, the meat isn't one of those pressed logs, it's actual meat slices layered onto the kabob, and you can tell the difference in taste...and texture. On top of the great meat, the bread and toppings are also both very high quality, and I like that the toppings include grilled veggies. Overall a fantastic doner, truly better than any other I've had. That said, this place gets absolutely packed, and there is only one small counter so you may have to wait quite a while. This is an authentic experience. The decor and table setup is steeped in culture and family history . The owner is really nice and has a hearty chuckle that makes you think you are a part of the neighborhood. I got the Alaturker Teller, which...is basically a plate of delicious vegetables, meat, rice, fresh pita and salad. My husband got the kebab, which is basically the same thing inside a of a pita bread. Get the apfelschorle to drink. Come with your full appetite because the portions are large. After reading an article in the stuttgarter timeung that the alaturka had moved to a better place and had been honored as the best doner in Germany, I decided to visit again. the new location offers more place to sit and is much more airy....The thunder, stays equal, great. each doner is still prepared for each individual. everything with only bark. nice are still fresh and taste great. the lines are still there, waiting for popular times is still there, but a little shorter. but the evening meal is very worthwhile, so the people wait. highly recommended.

We found this place on Yelp and given the good reviews took out on the minute walk (passing probably other kebab places) to give it a try...SO happy we did. I had the veggie plate with rice and my boyfriend had the traditional...doner Kebab and we were both blown away. Be prepared for a wait, but everything from the bread to the roasted veggies are all prepared fresh right in front of you while you wait. Amazing flavor and you can tell this guy only uses quality ingredients. We will be going back!

today landed in the heart bay alatuka, the service was terrible. the plates were cleaned and we were left there without being offered a desert menu and or billing up to minutes after we finally got the staff attention. this also happened during our meal, no one...dided a scary back to go to the kitchen to ask extra bread as no personal should be seen. the food was good, but the service was terrible that ruined the experience.

Alaturka's food is amazing. It is not very large, and the staff consists of persons performing functions of cooking, baking, ringing up customers, and cleaning off tables. Please be patient when you go. Do not be surprised if you are in line for up...to minutes. The wait is definitely worth it. I had ordered from yüksel original. grazing, the meat was as delicious and fresh as welk as a lavish. I am a meat lover and know the quality. in the past many döner places around Germany were tested. this place is something special. Definitely... will be back.
