I had hear a lot about this place from family, but was told it wasn 't what it use to be. But I wanted to find out for myself and went. The staff were very nice and the store itself is like walking into a sugary wonderland. There were so many sweets that 's were beautiful decorated it was hard to choose what we wanted. We ordered several desserts so we had a wide variety to enjoy; sadly they weren 't enjoyable. Most of the desserts were tasteless! The Tres leches cake cup looked great but had no flavor. This review is focused on the sfingi I had during St. Joseph's Day. The cannoli cream was absolutely delicious! However, the pastry itself was quite hard and dry, possibly from being cooled. I noticed they had so many delightful treats available during the fall season! I definitely plan to sample more of their offerings in the future. They also make sandwiches, which I haven't tried yet. My main goal for this visit was to get this pastry, which I’ve missed since moving away from New York! I have tried sweets from Alessi Bakery before that others had gotten, but I had never personally visited the bakery On Valentine 's Day, I went to the bakery to get some love themed treats for my husband. They had quite a selection of options to choose from! They had everything from Valentine 's cakes, to cupcakes, to cookies, to everything else in between! That place is sweets heaven!I ended up getting him a peanut butter chocolate jumbo cupcake, a gourmet holiday jumbo cupcake, an I love you sugar cookie, and a normal size raspberry cupcake for me!Everything was so freaking good!I will definitely be back to get more goodies!!

melissa and her team have made such a beautiful job on our high-time cake. not only was it beautiful, but it tasted amazing! our lavender cake base with blueberry/blackberry mousse was a hit! my parents loved to connect the cake tasting as well - melissa made this super special and quality we loved try all the aromes! we bought the 3 cupcake stands from amazon and alessi placed their beautiful cupcakes and cookies as well as for additional snacks. They created and baked our vow renewal cakes and desserts in February. The cake was light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. All the mini desserts were fantastic too! Your cream cheese frosting is incredible! I've been visiting Alessi since I was a child, and you have such a wide variety of delicious treats! Melissa truly brought our vision for the cake to life. The lemon cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting was just amazing!

I live in Portland, Oregon, but I always make it a priority to visit this restaurant whenever I go to see my mother in Tampa. My kids adore their breakfast sandwiches, and my mom enjoys their classic Cuban sandwich. Almost 25 years ago, Alessi made my wedding cake, a dark chocolate goose, and their desserts are just as delicious today. The staff is friendly and provides great service with a smile!

The hand carved Cuban sandwich is the best Cuban I have ever had. The traditional is very good as well but the hand carved one is next level. We also got several dessert items all of which were fantastic. They get pretty busy so be prepared to wait but it is worth it.

Our wedding cake turned out perfect!! We had a tasting and all of the flavors were great. We ended up choosing an almond cake with raspberry filling and it was wonderful! And the design of the cake turned out exactly as we requested

Get the hand carved option. It’s worth the extra money to get big chucks of roasted pork and ham. The bakery is outstanding too.
