Das Alex ist aus gutem Grund in Zermatt bekannt. Während das Hotel um 1960 erbaut wurde, sieht es aus, als wäre es schon seit einem Jahrhundert dort. Es ist sehr bayerisch Chalet im Aussehen und es sieht alles echt aus, nicht wie ein modernes Hotel, das versucht, etwas anderes zu sein.Unser Zimmer war geräumig und komfortabel, genauso wie das Badezimmer. Wir hatten einen großen Balkon, der einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Gipfel der Stadt, einschließlich des Matterhorns, und auf die Stadt selbst bot. The Alex is well known in Zermatt for good reason. While the hotel was built around 1960 the décor makes it look like it 's been there for a century. It is very Bavarian/Chalet in appearance and it all looks real, not like a modern hotel that is trying to be something else. Our room was spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom. We had a large balcony that offered a stunning view of the peaks around the town, including the Matterhorn, and of the town itself. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet were both excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. The Alex is not the least expensive hotel in Zermatt, nor is it the most expensive, It is a great value for the money. The...

We went there pretty early so the place was empty. The ambiance was nice and a bit elegant.The meat was cooked to perfection and it was so tender, we loved the food. I had the best polenta of my life, as a side dish. The wine selection was also good, we had some lovely wine from the region. The service was friendly and fast. I can only recomend this restaurant.

Soirée chez Alex très agréable, une excellente découverte pour nous. La terrasse cosy, qui donne un air de vacances alors qu'on est à 5 min de la maison. Le repas était délicieux, Le vin excellent. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr ! Reserva una mesa ahora

Petit établissement où je mange à chaque fois très bien et où je ne suis jamais déçu ! Les plats sont bien présentés, bien préparés. J'y retourne toujours avec plaisir !

Wir haben lokale Spezialitäten gegessen. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Athmosphäre im Restaurant ist typisch Wallis, die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
