This restaurant used to be excellent, but then experienced a decline before improving again. However, it is now back to being incredibly disappointing, especially when it comes to service. I called to order a curry and vindaloo for pick-up, only to be put on hold for 2 minutes. When I called back, I was informed that they had placed me on hold because they had other customers. I decided not to bother with my order as I didn't want to wait 35 minutes to pick it up when I live just around the corner. The long wait and lack of explanation for being put on hold were unacceptable. I have decided to start ordering from Jaipar in Brokehall, which is much better.
My family and I recently moved near the area and were doubtful about the local Indian restaurants nearby. We have always enjoyed traditional Indian cuisine and have typically stuck to the same restaurants. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you are warmly greeted by Jay and Abdul, who make you feel at ease right away. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and you could easily spend hours there. The food is without a doubt the best authentic Indian cuisine in Ipswich. I highly recommend trying the shami kebab and tikka dhansak. This is definitely the top spot in Ipswich! Be sure to give it a try!
Ordered online , order accepted and stated 1 hour til delivery. Called when 20 minutes late to be told , short of drivers ,will get it to you when we can not even a sorry ,food arrives about 15minutes later , not as hot as it should have been. Neither foodhub or the takeaway interested in sorting this. Very poor , almost rude customer service from the takeaway. Shame as the food is normally good quality. I ll avoid in future.
This restaurant is a favorite spot for me, my friends, and my family. The service is consistently excellent, whether we're ordering takeout or dining in. We have always loved this restaurant and takeaway, but the latest meal was dreadful. The naan breads were cold and tough, the butter chicken had a very watery sauce and little chicken and the onion bhajis were so greasy. My tikka chicken biryani was fine, the poppadoms and raita excellent. Not a cheap meal and unlikely to return.
Night on my own so decided to have a curry. So much choice and having never been here before I just went for a quick vegetarian set meal for one. Well, I ended up with two meals out of it for a very low price. The food was excellent and fresh and I will be going back to try the restaurant next time with the family
Honestly one of the greatest curries I've ever had and I've travelled all over India! Massively enjoyed the king prawn jalfrezi but had a sample of the full power naga which was incredible too. Enjoyed in great company with really close friends, perfect culinary accompaniment to the evening. Thank you
