We started with the Alkaline Nachos (£10.95), which featured nachos topped with marinated baked quinoa, fried beans, cashew cream, guacamole, pineapple salsa, and pickled red cabbage. The dish was drizzled with smoked cashew cheese. They were delightful, sweeter than any nachos I had before, and had a nice tangy twist.
Next, we tried the BBQ Tacos (£9.50), which included shredded carrot in an alkaline BBQ sauce served in a crispy corn shell filled with fried beans and guacamole, along with pineapple salsa and pickled red cabbage, accompanied by a side salad. I have so many issues with digestion and gluten intolerance it's so hard to find anything I can eat and then anything I can eat that's actually nice and not ultra processed/unhealthy! I'm full all of the time don't wanna snack, energy! My digestive system is working again! My sleep quality has improved so much it's amazing. It just goes to show you are what you eat I have eaten in the restaurant several times and always absolutely loved it my favourite dish being the coconut and mango curry! Great food, friendly staff. Really well presented dishes, good soul food without any meat alternatives which is great to see where a lot of vegan and non vegan restaurants lean into the ease of alternative products. Everything appears and tastes home made. I had the burger and nachos. Would have loved space for a dessert but the portions are very generous. I was surprised that the side salad the burger came with was as satisfying as it was I'm a 100kg gym going 6'1 fella so saying a salad was tasty and satisfying goes miles toward explaining how good this place is! I also had the milkshake which was lovely Would definitely return if I find myself in Middlesbrough again.

Alkaline Kitchen is a cute and quiet cafe, their main focus is having healthy vegan options so everything is naturally sourced and hand made. I tried the Alkaline Burger which is the best bean burger I have ever had and probably the only bean burger I've ever enjoyed. The atmosphere is chilled and cosy, the staff are incredibly friendly and polite, the prices are reasonable and of course the food is delicious. There is paid parking just around the corner.
I absolutely love this restaurant! They offer fantastic plant-based recipes and it's easily the best spot in the borough. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, and the staff are really pleasant. Absolutely amazing the Food is delicious and nutritious I enjoy it so much that it’s mainly all I eat now. Also the guys do a meal prep service so I’m here most weeks to collect my meals. I can really feel the difference with my health and fitness routines so absolutely buzzing that I found them your health really is your wealth.
