My mother visited on 4 April and this is her experience: The toilet, which was through a small storage area where there were trays of eggs on floor and a girl was washing dishes in a bucket, was very dirty and needed a deep clean! When the jacket potato arrived and she started to eat, on moving some cheese discovered a wasp hopping around the plate. It then appeared stunned and got onto the table beside the plate. She called the waitress to show her and all she did was get a serviette and swipe it off the table with no apology saying you might have some honey. At this point she did not fancy eating what was left so took her plate of unfinished food to the manager asking him when the cafe had...
We were lucky to stumble on this gem of a cafe. The menuvwas huge and we had trouble choosing. Roast dinners, grills, liver bacon, hot dogs and salads to name but a few. We eventually settled on the liver, bacon, sausage chips. I had the hot dog and chips. We also had a couple of cold drinks. The meals were excellent , hot and tasty. The cafe was spotless, the staff friendly. It was very reasonably priced. If in the area, we'd definitely go back.
We always stop for lunch here if we are in Poole. The cafe is unpretentious but friendly and the staff are always so welcoming. There is plenty of variety on the menu and the food is always served quickly, hot and tasty. With reasonable prices as well what’s not to like?
