we had reserved for 10 people, were there at 19 o'clock. the order was already very slow, even the drinks took a very long time.The appetizer came around 20.20 and the half was forgotten. after the closure of the villa alla vecchia stazione had to be furnished first. after every Italian holiday the kitchen of mario and the warm service of susanne was a must. we could finally visit the new local now and are thrilled. very tastefully decorated, a beautiful terrace - and then the great food. always at a high level, always tasty and always the occasion for the wish after the next visit. a wonderful restaurant that becomes a special experience through mario's cooking art and susanne's creative talent.
I can't quite understand the positive reviews... maybe the highly praised cook had just a vacation? we were five to dinner there. the pizza was really nothing special, 2x grilled salmon was definitiw much too through and thereby dry, the lambback was also too far from pink, it took forever until the food came, and after we expressed the desire to pay, the service has first cleared away a lot of cute and we had to wait again. for our regular girls' evenings there will be no repeating -shade! after a long time of waiting, the villa has found its home in montabaur. the local bears the name "alla vecchia stazione" and I can only say that wait has rewarded! :-) we have tried various pasta dishes, tagliatelle alla villa and rigatoni with mountain cheese sauce (daily dish,) and were pampered with first-class food. there was an excellent red wine from Austria, which sweetened us out of the evening beyond the good food.We like to come back and wish a good start in montabaur!
fresh and very tasty food meets very tasty wine (home wine recommended!), in a friendly and family atmosphere. here you are always treated courteously and friendly. we are always very happy to visit alla vecchia stazione.In particular, the tortelloni in mountain cheese sauce or the different pizzas are recommended.
