If I could give 10 stars I would! This restaurant is a hidden gem right in the middle of the Italian Market section of Philly. We were walking around trying to figure out where to grab a bite to eat for lunch and what grabbed our attention was the smooth melodic blowing of a saxophone musician. In all honesty the dining area is not too spectacular but the food and service make up wonderfully for the lack of aesthetics when it comes to the decor. This little spot was recommended to us from our air bnb host and we decided to switch our Friday night dinner reservations to try it out and we were glad we did! When we arrived they were giving a salsa lesson which was cool to see! The patio is open and airy and is dog friendly. The food was excellent- my husband got the seafood pasta, very fresh and a huge portion of shrimp and mussels… I got the chicken dish which was fantastic as well. For a starter we got the chips and guacamole which tasted super fresh as well. Customer service was great. Highly recommend!
Delicious food in an open air environment makes this place refreshing even in a metropolis like Philadelphia. They have some of the best unique dishes that I can’t find anywhere else. The staff is so kind. The umbrellas and beautiful flowers at each table helped make this place a relaxing space. I will definitely be returning.Parking: You may have to go around the block more than once, or park further away and walk a block, but the food is worth it. I was fortunate and found a parking right in front of the restaurant.
Amazing food, especially the octopus tacos!! The staff made us feel welcomed and were so hospitable. We made reservations for a party of 6 to celebrate some birthdays (two friends celebrating their birthdays). The staff really went above and beyond for us and made it a night to remember. They so kindly stored a surprise cake for us, provided a sparkling cake topper, and mixed the MOST DELICIOUS pineapple bevs for our friends. Truly A1 service — thank you, Alma del Mar! We will be back again next time!

I was disappointed with the lobster eggs Benedict. It had received excellent reviews but I thought it was meh, as were the home fries accompanying it. The steak breakfast burrito was okay. The horchata was delicious, though. The tarp covered patio was comfortably warm because of the heat lamps. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Overall, I have had better lunches on 9th street

Food was super cold and looked like it was not cook well. It made my hole family stomach hurt. We will not be order from this restaurant ever again.
The food was delicious definitely recommend. However, the sides for the chicken and waffle were missing.
