Alamare's has the best gelato I've ever had!! I got their pistachio and baklava (after taking forever to choose, of course) and it was very creamy but not too sweet. I normally can't finish a cup of ice cream especially after dinner, but the gelato was just amazing. Pistachio had real pistachio bits in it and it just hit the spot. I'm not too sure why baklava was purple, but it tasted a bit like saffron, and I was so excited to find baklava chunks!!! Come here for the perfect mid day ice cream or post dinner dessert! I'll definitely be back to try more flavors!!
If you are looking for something fast to satisfy your sweet taste buds, then Gelato milano can do the job... but if you are looking for something Primo purple, then you are better off elsewhere. the all-white minimalist interior made me feel like I was far away in an abandoned space station, and although the choices of taste are plentiful, I felt at a loss for what to get – nothing really grabbed my attention. total, a disappointing visit to gelato milano.
With a name like Gelato Milano I expected some Italian flavor, but I was somewhat disappointed because it was missing that rich satisfying taste really well gelato. I also, although it's kind of expensive for the medium-sized blades I got. Chocolate was pretty good tasting, but the Straciatella tasted a kind of irony. Also, maybe I'm not hip enough, but the minimalist interior doesn't exactly put you in the cheeriest of the moods. To the next Gelateria.
The gelato at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! However, the service leaves something to be desired. One staff member in particular comes off as very cold and passive-aggressive. When I walked in, she just stared at me until I said my order, without even greeting me. On the other hand, the man who took my payment was very pleasant. I would still recommend this place, but I tend to avoid it if I see her working.

The best. Next you will come to galato on this side of the Mediterrean! Make sure that you do not confuse this place with the older Gelateria the next block – they cannot compare. They serve icy ice cream, not creamy, smooth Italian gelato. My favorite combination: panna cotta and cioccolato. (And I am also a sucker for minimalist, modern design.

Always great tasting ice cream, Stracciatella is my favorite. Conveniently located right next to Berkeley BART (Zug). Some interior and exterior seats.
Super delicious gelato! I love their chocolate and coffee flavors. Not too sweet and pretty tasteful. They also have internal and external seats.
