This restaurant is one of Val Thorens best kept secrets. Inside there is a gorgeous wine shop bursting with French wines at every price point and style imaginable. I just don't get the hype on tripadvisor. fondue was badly served, with old brot and the fondue itself was really not great. in the fish dish we ordered, the fish itself just ruined the whole dish, as it wasn't the right one. fish for the court and was not properly prepared. the duck was beautiful, but not exciting. We stopped by here for lunch, three skiers and a non skier. Immediately shouted at for skis year olds mistake). Dealt with and apologised. Sat down and had menus thrown at us. The waiter proceeded to bang glasses around on the neighbouring tables. Looked...at the menu and it was totally uninspiring. We weren’t looking at paying euros each for a light lunch and there was little choice for snacks. Even the soup was each so for four of us with drinks we’d be looking at over . We eventually left after mins, not that anybody came back to us to take even a drinks order.
This was our second visit. The decor is, as you may expect “arty” and the steak was cooked to perfection. There was a delay on serving us our main but it was rectified with a couple of glasses of wine. The stir fry wasn’t...brilliant all in all felt quite expensive for what it was. However, it’s something a bit different and worth a try if you are staying locally.

Enjoyed two meals here over the Christmas break with lovely fresh food and a friendly atmosphere. Owners and staff are really friendly and the chefs prepare an excellent standard of food. I look forward to eating here again later in the month.
what a beautiful and highly interesting setting with art on the walls and cool furniture, great menu choices and fantastic cooking. modern kitchen and very, very friendly high-class service. definitiw comes with my best recommendations!
Top cuisine. I had the steak, which was delicious and beautifully presented but the plate was cold and so was the food and we all kept our jumpers on and were freezing cold! The lamb and gambas were first class too.
