Over Busy and Understaffed Sat outside on the upper terrace Waiter haunted and rudely waited a while to get his attention we tried to order food and drink at the same time and were literally cried for it, we could only get our food after drinks seemingly stupid to not know. When drinks arrived, we were allowed to order food for 8, a pizza came after 10 minutes and then nothing. We gave up after an hour and didn't give us the opportunity to order another drink this hour, we waited for the food to come up. This is where you want to eat at the slopes of Leogang! We had lunch here twice and both times we hit the jackpot. They have a large wine card, with excellent wines (champagne per glass... . The first they I had the dear with accompanying the Opus red wine. This was a match made in heaven. The meat was so tender and the wine was excellent. The second time I had the risotto and this was also amazing. The waitress brought us by mistake a different bottle that we ordered and the way they treated this mistake was very customer focused and professional! We got very kind a schnapps on the house... we will be back next year!!!!!
Auf 1.760m, nur wenige Schritte von der Bergstation steht die Alte Schmiede aus der Krallerhof Familie. Drin siehts aus, als ob alles mindestens schon über 150 Jahre alt ist. Urgemütlich ist es und richtig viel Platz hat man in der Alten Schmiede. Das Essen ist super, das selbst gebraute Bier vom Asitz Bräu schmeckt lecker. Die Bedienungen sind reichlich und schnell. Die Location ist einfach klasse. Der nicht mehr lange Weg hoch zum Asitz See lohnt sich übrigens auch, Winter wie Sommer.
Beautiful quirky place for a break during a blizzard. The food is generous and good for vegetables. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, unlike the quite achingly cool place nearby. The interior is huge and packed with old skins, antiques, photos and curiosity, so fun to explore and spend a while. The food looked nice, but we managed only one gluh wine and strudel during this visit. Very friendly service

Super gute Küche mit internationalen sowie regionalen Speisen. Das Ambiente ist sonderbar aber auf jeden Fall urig und interessant. Man könnte meinen man würde in einem Museum essen wo man entlang den Ausstellungsstücken Tische und Stühle zum Speisen hingestellt hat. Auch die Sanitäranlagen sind sehr schön gestaltet. Freundliches Personal und die Speisen sind sehr frisch.
Nice place with a beautiful terrace. We were 5 people with lunch. The waiter made the mistake of loading my card twice. I didn't notice until we got out. I contacted them immediately with the documentation of the error and promised a reasonable refund. That was mid-February. I haven't received the refund yet. Look out!
Sind auf den Asitz gegangen und haben oben eine leckere Brotzeit zu uns genommen! Die Kaspressknödelsuppe war seeehr lecker - ebenso der Wurstsalat und die Brotzeitplatte! Nette Bedienung - aufmerksam - saubere Toiletten und schöne Wirtschaft!
Die Alte Schmiede ist ein echtes Highlight. Das Ambiente ist super urig und sehr stimmig. Hier sollte man auf jeden Fall mal hingehen. Das Essen und der Service sind klasse.

Always stop here for lunch when we're skiing. This place is brilliant with freshly made food and excellent service. Prices are good too. Love it!
Die Hütte ist absolut sehenswert. Das Essen und insbesondere der Apfelstrudel ist sehr gut. Ein absolutes Muss wenn man in Leogang ist.
