The experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. Even without online reviews, we were seated almost immediately. They have a solid bar menu, and the **** Mary was outstanding. The portions were generous, and the salad from the appetizer menu was large enough to be a meal on its own. Each dish was cooked to perfection. The crab cakes were phenomenal—creamy, soft, and tender without being overcooked. The shrimp in the salad were huge and exceptionally juicy. My family and I had an impromptu dinner date on 8/23/24 and absolutely loved the food, ambiance and service. The hostess allowed me to book over the phone rather than the online service and she was flexible with the timing which we were extremely appreciative for. We had the pleasure of Michael as our server and he was pure delight. We had fried oysters, and shrimp corndogs…those were my highlights, absolutely AMAZING!!! Thank you to all the staff we encountered pleasure meeting you all our first time in Charleston. Can’t wait to come back!
A great lazy Sunday dinner with the family. Great fresh seafood! Made a reservation thru Google maps same day. When we arrived there was plenty of seating, so we asked for an upgraded booth. Service was initially slow, but picked up and was attentive thereafter. The wife had a salad with grilled sword fish as her protein, I had the blackened Mahi-mahi, which I would recommend to anyone. We had a spicy fried shrimp (not pictured) and premium oysters as our starters. Amen Street was an overall great experience.
The beautiful downtown Charleston location is the reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars. Unfortunately, the inside was so hot that we had to leave. We also waited for 10 minutes without anyone greeting us or offering us water. I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I felt too uncomfortable to stay. I hope they fix the air conditioning or whatever the problem is by the time you visit. I recommend checking on that before making a reservation.

The food was excellent to them crabs, mussels, burgers and shrimp scampi. The bowl n eat shrimp was unordered and we were not offered additional napkins or wipes. We asked for several items (glass of ice, straw, napkins) that we had to ask more than once. While our server, Kelsey, was personal, but it wasn't very attentive and the restaurant didn't seem understated. I'm going back because the food was so good hopefully the service will be better.
Made reservations via Open Table and seated promptly. Extraordinary service. Food was brought to the table with impeccable timing. Good thing as table was small. The best fried tomatoes with pimento cheese and fried goat cheese that I have ever had. Swordfish Sammy, fried shrimp, and oysters on point. You have to visit for the experience. Garage parking not too far and The Market is right there.
The food was outstanding! The atmosphere is lovely; I sat by the window and the raw bar, which offered plenty to enjoy and take in. I apologize for not recalling the hostess's name, but she was fantastic! She ensured we were seated comfortably and promptly, even without a reservation. Our server was excellent too. It’s a really cool place to enjoy a meal!
Menu was a little misleading on prices. Food was good. Did an add on crabcake 20+ with my meal. Wasnt very clear it was 20+ in addition to meal price.
