Americana In Des Mo

We arrived during the shift between the brunch services and dinner. We decided to wait 30 mins until we could order appetizers and additional 30 mins when we could then order from the dinner menu. It wasn't a busy Sunday afternoon. (Less than 10 customers) We requested to sit upstairs for some privacy. Our server Kayla said she had to watch the bar in addition to serving and didn't feel like walking up and down the stairs. So we opted for a corner booth. As we're sitting in our booth, a job interview to work for the restaurant was being conducted in the next booth. That was strange. We received our appetizers, no napkins or silverware. We went to Americana for a birthday this morning and had the breakfast buffet. The food was pretty standard for a buffet. The salted caramel pancakes and filled donut holes were good. The biscuits were over cooked. We also had Bloody Marys and Mimosas which were good

I was in Des Moines for work and this is where they took us for dinner. What a treat it was! I had pork steak and it was incredibly tender and juicy. Would definitely go back.
