Located next to the Varscona Hotel in what used to be Murrieta's restaurant on Whyte Ave, this is a largely a sharing plate menu. Four of us selected the charcuterie platter and were not disappointed, in fact, we were pleasantly surprised by the ample portions of dried, cured deli meats and hard and soft cheeses, house-made bread and accompaniments. Our waitress explained that 27 in the name refers to the 27 bones in our hands, and hands are what prepares the food in-house, serves, and finally consumes the food at the table. Pleasant atmosphere, tables spaced for privacy, and friendly and efficient servers.

Can't say I would return here. Very overpriced for what you get and not many options. Ampersand jumping on the bandwagon of dividing every single item into sides and mains and charging a lot for what would normally be a basic plate. My $35 tenderloin was very tiny and the potato was basically soup surrounding it with $5 side dishes. The build your own charcuterie looked interesting, with a wide selection of meats and cheeses however we didn't try it. The no bake chocolate cheesecake was tiny and overly sweet. This place could definitely step it up.

Nice place to go with friends. Saturday nite, 30 people, efficient staff, LOTS of good food......Because of the size of our group, they served "family platter" style. Well organized and reasonably price for what was served 7 courses and impressive charcuterie boards. NOW........I'm not a "charcuterie " person, but I must say......they did a better job than most places do in Edmonton that try to be trendy".......Three club sodas and this filling meal $(40 tip)I'd probably go back.

Great relaxing decor inside, food is totally average and small portions, think they are trying to be Joey's or Earls but the menu cannot carry that off. I suppose they have to charge a lot for a tiny pizza to pay for the very nice extravagant decor inside. Staff are good and friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

I found the place overrated and over decorated. Staff seemed to not care about the experience of the patron. At one point saw staff member, in frustration ,wondering around with staff meal trying to find a place to eat. I'm i in a restaurant or staff area?

I had a late night snack here with a couple of beers,Very good service. The staff knows their stuff and are friendly Then I had dinner the second night(pea risotto ).

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! What more can you want than a restaurant that has an entire menu page dedicated to gin, and an award-winning, house-made tonic?
