"I visited this restaurant shortly after coming back from living in Moldova for a few years. I found the food to be top-notch and authentic in taste. The service was fantastic and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I especially loved the music and the atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back."

The food was good – I had mititei (kebabs) with chips, while my friends ordered grilled trout with grilled vegetables, spicy pork stew with chips, and they all seemed to enjoy their meals. The portions were generous, and we washed down our food with bottles of Romanian red and white wine. The white wine, Grasa de Cotnari, was particularly noteworthy. For dessert, we indulged in papanasi (Romanian donuts with jam and cream), which were delicious. A friend had pancakes with walnuts and honey, while another friend opted for a large ice cream. We were pleasantly surprised to find a man at a nearby table who generously shared his brandy with the men at our table, offering holiday wishes before...

my culinary world tour through london brought me last week to leytonestone, where I was spoiled in a Romanian farewell. it took my friend and I that it was so far to fly to bukarest, but I would say it was worth the experience. leytonestone is the home of two Romanian restaurants, but we chose the amurg. I forgot to ask what it meant, but google translate tells me it means twilight.' that could explain the tinted windows that kept us closed at the first glance the place. However, when we saw two young people sitting on a table near the window, we realized that it was actually open for the business.

Established for more than a decade this diner style restaurant serves excellent Romanian food at really good prices. There is a good selection of Romanian wine and beer and the Palinka was very good and cheap! Service was friendly and efficient. The Ciorba de Buta (beef tripe soup) was excellent and brought back memories of Bucuresti! The Mici was absolutely delicious! Papanasi (a sort of doughnut) was wonderful. Finish with Palinka. Multumesc!
