Had lunch at this classy yet casual little cafe in Glencoe. It's one of those pretty quiet places where if it's not coffee, it's usually some brunch cocktails or that kind of stuff along with some pretty good food such as salads and sandwiches. An Apple A Day also does catering. Pretty good prices for a small cafe like it. The atmosphere can be kind of too quiet though. A pretty simple looking cafe. It really doesn't have much ambience to be honest. There's a few tables inside and not much else besides that. Has alcohol. It's about $13 for a cocktail. Those are the cheapest ones. A lot are the brunch kind such as mimosas. Guess it fits with the crowd as most seem to be the soccer mom types....
Very nice and delicious food. A bit pricey but it is downtown Glencoe, home of the rich and stuckup! Had the roasted chicken salad on sourdough. Very good all the way around. Had their homemade kettle chips which were great! Very good sized portions for price. I will be back to try breakfast and hopefully get an al fresco seat next time. Waitress was fabulous! Took home bread pudding and still looking forward to having that treat tonight! Highly recommended cafe and other foods prepared that looked delicious. Apple A Day is a cute family friendly restaurant we love. The owner is so kind and always makes the kids feel like they are home. I miss the little masks they used to give to color but they still have crayons. Beautiful ambiance and friendly staff. The food is always excellent!
Overall, this restaurant offers excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Some recommended dishes include the Harvest Salad, House Salad, and Ratatouille. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available with options for both a free parking lot and free street parking.

Experience was awesome. We catched perfect timing around 5:15 (Friday) and showed up without reservation, got a table with awesome view right away and service was really fast.
This chicken salad is lacking in flavor - it tastes very bland as salt is not used at all. Food is rated 1 out of 5, while service is rated 5 and atmosphere is rated 3.
