We (16 family members visiting from 4-6 times per year have been dining at Ron of Japan since the late 1970’s. Over the years we’ve noticed some changes unfortunately for the worse. Removing bean sprouts from the Crown diners being one. Our most recent visit on August 24, 2024 was a visit that really set us back. 3 of us dined at a table. The serving size of vegetables was about half the amount we usually receive. The once loved “Egg sauce” was not the same color or texture or flavor. The shrimp appeared smaller too! It was alright. Expected more from the chef outside of the one 10 second fire that was pretty much the whole show. Benihana still does the show which my family really enjoyed. Thought I’d give Ron of Japan a shot to see if it’s similar. Food was good for the price. Layout of the restaurant was nice. 
Kind of disappointing to come here for a fun birthday party and the chef seemed uninterested, little of the old showmanship that made this place fun. Wait staff were hardly around but when they were they were friendly. I felt bad for my kid who was hoping for a fun evening.
Have eaten at ROJ for decades and last night was one of the very best! Our cook as Eda and he was amazing!! Loved the extra care and time he took with seasonings, made a huge difference!

Ki, the server always provides the best service. This location is much better than the one downtown. The food is consistently good here. Early reservations guarantee good seating.
We had a delightful evening. Staff were outstanding and so was the food. A real show that didn’t sacrifice food quality.
It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday with nine people.
I thought there were more eating and sauces. but not bad overall.
