"Delicious pork vermicelli and Vietnamese coffee at An Nam At Harvard! I think the vermicelli bowl could use a little more fish sauce, though. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is tucked away in a building, so you won't spot the storefront from the street. I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu!"

What an incredible Vietnamese restaurant! Nestled in the galleria of Harvard Square, you can easily access it from either Winthrop Street or JFK. Parking is convenient and affordable in the hotel garage across from Charlie’s Kitchen. We tried the pork belly clay pot and the pork belly brothless noodles—they were both outstanding. The noodles had the perfect texture, and the pork was amazing with just the right level of spice (I ordered it spicy) without being overly hot. We also enjoyed the salted lime soda, which was deliciously salty and refreshing. I’m currently obsessed with the sweet potato cheesecake we took to go. For appetizers, we had the chao tom (shrimp paste) which were flavorful...

I had a craving for pho, so we decided to give An Nam a try. We had visited the Assembly Row location before and weren't impressed, but hoped this one might be better. The restaurant was quite empty during dinner on a Friday. We wanted to order two different shrimp-based appetizers, but unfortunately, they weren't available. We ended up getting the shrimp and pork fried wontons, which turned out to be the highlight of our meal—packed with meat and delicious. However, the pho was disappointing; the broth lacked flavor and there weren't many noodles. I also didn't enjoy the clay pot catfish. Overall, I wouldn't return. I believe Le's is a better option for Vietnamese food in Harvard Square....
