Anchor Inn Sports Entertainment

If you 're working the 'graveyard shift ' and would like a beer after work, Anchor Inn opens at 7am. They have a good selection on their menus and the place is loaded with televisions. They got dart boards, a pool table and a pretty good jukebox. The night crowd can get pretty rowdy but nobody has gotten stabbed there in a long time. They check IDs like nobody 's business and even have it scanned through a machine linked to the Hammond Police Department (says the rumor). The place is EXTREMLY clean, cleanier than most people think; especially with the reputation Anchor Inn has bestowed on itself. Now don 't get me wrong, it 's NOT a roadhouse, and most of the time it 's in pretty GOOD spirit...

This place is really taking a dive of the worst they started shooting up here last Saturday, November 11 I believe 2021. There is no security and beware it's crazy outside and the neighbors are saying that they have always been shootings and murders at this place especially on weekends go and have a drink in hurry up and get the hell out of there the drinks are expensive to I would definitely not be back my windows got a shout out while I was driving off I could've died

I visited the restaurant with my sisters and we all had to show our IDs, which is fine. However, for some reason—perhaps due to our race—the ID reader failed to recognize two of our cards. There are certainly other methods to verify the authenticity of an ID. Additionally, the attitude we received from the staff was unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since we were simply seeking clarification because we were confused. Ultimately, it’s their loss and not mine.

The phone number listed is disconnected, and when I visited, I found that they don’t actually have a phone at all. Even if they did, there seemed to be no one available to answer it! If you're considering hanging out at the bar with friends, you should know that they do serve food, and it’s surprisingly tasty. Really cool bar, very chill. I've been a few times sometimes to drink, sometimes to eat, and always to play pool. Reasonably priced, good workers, good entertainment. (TVs, games, jukebox, Dj) The hot wings and loaded fries are yummy. Give them a try.

The best experience! I had the SS Whaleback along with a pitcher of Grain Belt, and it was fantastic. I had to go to Superior, Wisconsin for work, and it turned into a routine of eating and sleeping. Thankfully, The Anchor made my time enjoyable!

Went here with one of the gf's... not a bad place, just a kind of a hole in the wall with average bar food. Worth a looksee if ya got nothin better to do or just lookin for a quick burger and brew. Not much else to say bout this joint.

Great place! The only place in the area that opens 7am and closes at 3am! Great food and drinks are very well priced! Bartenders kick butt and are nice.....Always a blast in there day or nite! Reserva una mesa ahora

Food is bomb- especially wings OMG- i wont go anywhere else!! All bartenders are amazing especially Danny!!! Love it here, def fav bar. They have pool DJ almost every night.

This is a good bar pretty laid back nice bartenders. With a blue collar crowd. The food is not so great but solid place to get a beer.
