What a disaster.Went out with my family yesterday evening to have a dinner in Cavalaire sur Mer. We were pretty early when we entered the restaurant, there was only one other group of people there. Went we entered we weren’t welcomed so we just took a table. After 10 minutes a waitress came, she wasn’t dressed like one, to take our order for a drink. Again she didn’t welcomed us. Again 10 minutes later we got the menu and the drink. I didn’t knew they server that kind of little glasses of wine! Again 10 minutes later we had to signal her that we were ready to order. Picked this place on the sea front as it looked inviting - ordered starters and main courses for the family - starters not bad but not worth the price - drinks also very expensive The "boss" spent all of his time getting as many people as possible crushed in to the restaurant - pity they didn't spend more time tracking the orders - our main courses simply never arrived ! After several heated discussions with the staff we said we were leaving - they apologised but didnt ask for any payment so we didnt offer !! So we paid nothing for the drinks we had etc but had the most awful evening which ended with us buying hot dogs for the kids from a snack bar !!Absolutely shocking service dreadful for...
We went here about 2 weeks ago. I would not recommend this place at all. It was around 2pm in the afternoon and we were looking to have some lunch. We were a family of 10 and we had to organise the chairs and tables ourselves. We were then told that there was only one chef on so all we could choose was salad from the Salad menu even though they had their full menu on display on the street. A few of us had the same salad and we all agreed that it was very poor, even the bacon was rare & disgusting. It was not a pleasant experience at all. There are so many other restaurants that are so much nicer.
We use the Blue Anchor as our RV when meeting visitors in Cavalaire on market day, and we also have a beer there other days. We like the setting and the people-watching, and the range of draft beers, but as so often in France these days service is never more than 'just about acceptable'. Po-faced, not enthusiastic, taking their time. Not a place to fall in love with, and what a shame.

we were greeted by a very friendly and good English-speaking waitress. we enjoyed the beautiful view of the yachts in the harbour and above all the delicious and beautiful mixed plate with various types of cheese and local ham. the menu card looked good. Fair...prices for eating and drinks.
We spent a night in the harbor and decided to have dinner here because StPierre fish was on the menu. Food is ok, service friendly and the location top! The owner even gave us ice the next morning for our sail trip!
After visiting the nearby restaurant, we were drawn to this bar by the music. A talented band were fronted by an extraordinarily vivacious and flirtatious singer who really wooed the punters. Cocktails expensive!
The food was very nice. I had my two year old daughter and the staff were brilliant. Made a point of talking to her and making sure she was entertained.

Good drinks, good live music, good position - on the port. Perfect for people-watching.! Great place to have an after dinner drink
friendly staff and fast service. eating was quite average, but not bad. beautiful view over the harbour.
