Anny's Dairy Bar

A bartender on Salt Spring Island recommended this little eatery in uptown New Westminster. We order a steamer for each and shared a regular poutine. A canned soda was included with our order. The service was friendly and quick, the small dining area was clean...and bright, and the food brought back fond memories of our visit to Quebec. You can purchase fresh cheese curds and beef gravy in a can or packet. I'm glad that I don't need to travel so far to get my Quebecois food fix! If you plan on visiting, phone first to check on the hours....the owner said that summer and winter hours will be different

I went here with my girlfriend, we both had poutines while waiting for them to be done I chatted with the owner who is also from quebec. The poutine it self was one of the best ive had here, the cheese wasnt frozen like most...places and the gravy wasnt over cooked or yesterdays. would recommend for anyone missing home or wanting a great poutine

My hubby who's from Quebec, brought me(from Australia) here on our first date, and we always try to drop in when we pass through New West for at least, my favourite, maple twist icecream. Anny is great with our son and loves helping him with...his French

This cozy little restaurant has poutines to die for and hot dogs even a non beef eater can't stay away from!!! Also the owner is an absolute sweetie. Support local small businesses, especially when they are so darn good! :D

The poutine is a must have!! Also recommend the burgers and the soft ice cream. Small little place, the owner is so friendly and no complaints on service. Always a smile on her face. Go out and support a small business
