About a year ago, I attended the celebration of cheese in the evening which I also wrote about then (was just superb and a great learning experience). Now I returned to Antony with my sister-in-law for the daytime tasting with about nine different cheeses. We drove an hour south of our hotel in Rouffach based on Conde Nast's recommendation of Antony's as the premier fromagerie in the region. It did not disappoint. We visited in November on a weekday and had the pleasure of being the only customers in...the store. We did the course cheese tasting, and although we didn't like every one of the cheeses, each of them were unique and the tasting itself was a pleasure in an adorable semi-basement level wine tasting room. There is no place quite like Antony's. The location is quite a bit off the beaten path, the house' old and very charming, the small dining room as intimate as they come, and the selection of exquisite cheeses astounding. But there is something more here....Antony's is an exemplar of one man's aspiration and intent to offer the very best of French cheeses simply, honestly, and respectfully. Our tasting had been arranged by my family. What a wonderful experience, not to mention the variety of cheeses and regional wines. Lack of French was immaterial: we thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience and highly recommend it for food lovers visiting the region.

I was looking forward to the experience after hearing so much about it. I would give it a high mark for its uniqueness as a gourmet experience. However, at per person, I think it is way overpriced.

Loved the foid and special attention to my vegan plate. The other's.. enjoyed it all as well Go for it you will not regret.
