Apfelwein Solzer - Reservar una mesa

I have been there many times, and each time it never fails to amaze. There are few tourists there, but the staff will do their best to communicate with the non-german speaking guests. The food is always excellent. My go to is the Jeger Schnitzel....Fantastic. The wait time can be a little longer than other places (due to the volume of guests) but it is worth the wait. Staff is attentive (German attentive) and the beer is usually kept full. A little off the beaten path. but once found, it is remembered. Gutten appetite. Prost.

Very typical in Frankfurt and a must-visit are Äppelwoi (cider) casual restaurants, they often have terraces. This one is popular with locals, half of our group was from Frankfurt. Of course other beverages are also available (I don’t like cider and was happy with regional...beer). Food includes local and regional specialties (like potatoes in a green herbs sauce or a smelly cheese with onion vinaigrette) as well as Schnitzel and pork knuckles, but also very nice salads.

Lived in Frankfurt a couple of years ago. There were plenty fun nights (and days) with Apfelwein and Sauerkraut. Whenever I'm in town I try to go and visit. Hope one day I will be able to have all three favourites at once: Handkäs, Krüstchenschnitzel...and Kartoffelkloß.
