Do not eat here at this location on Warren Rd., Westland, MI I happened to come here on Friday night the 19th with my boyfriend. we both haven 't been in awhile due to last time when we were waiting to be seated for 10 minutes just kept getting looks by waitresses so we walked out. we figured we 'd give it another try after hearing both service and food has gotten better. we sit down order our drinks and get an appetizer of mozzarella sticks which were delicious. and then we got our meals which my boyfriend got chicken broccoli Alfredo, and mine was a 6 ounce sirloin steak with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans. Our experience at the restaurant started off well as we received our drinks and placed our order for the 2 for $30.00 deal with a salad. However, despite the waitress saying our food would be ready shortly on two occasions and even bringing us a second cup of tea (indicating how long we had been waiting), after 30 minutes we still had not received our food, not even the salad. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared and when we informed a nearby busboy about the situation, he just looked at us blankly. We have (almost always enjoyed Applebee 's, and we certainly did at this last visit. Party of 3, food was good the 'brownie bites ' made a nice dessert. To be sure, meals are less of a bargain then they were at one time (and most the desserts seem although large enough to be shareable , but that is par for the course these days. Service is typically Polite, Friendly, and mildly inexperienced: but, again, this is normal for most restaurants, and does not at all 'spoil ' the meal. This was the worst dining experience ever. It seems like there is new management because I have never had issues with this Applebee's before. We ordered our food from DoorDash and when it arrived, we noticed that we were missing a whole entree, some sauces, and a soup. We called to express our disappointment and they offered to replace the missing items if we returned to the restaurant. When we picked up the new items, they were already cold. The last 5 or 6 times I been in here I been having to deal with the nats an sticky bar area. I love sitting at the bar the girls never clean or wipe down the area when customers get up an leave. Please get your staff together on wiping and cleaning. Everyone always standing drinking whatever an talking clean up the resturant.
