The restaurant was not very busy when we arrived, and they had to clean a table for us. We waited for 30 minutes before being served, which made me consider leaving. However, we decided to stay a few more minutes. The waitress eventually came and apologized for the wait. My order was not correct, but my guest's was. The waitress fixed the mistake and checked on us twice. I left her a $10 tip. I'm guessing they were understaffed. I would consider going back to see if the service has improved. Overall, I would give the restaurant 3 stars for the 30-minute wait and the politeness of our waitress.
For the first time since COVID restrictions lifted, mom and I ventured out for lunch.Our server's name was Melvin and he took good care of us.The $5 drink specials were not good spring for top shelf. We sent our drinks back and upgraded since it was a special treat to order from a bar. My top shelf margarita arrived in a martini glass which was wierd to me but the drink was good.The food was served quickly, was hot and was everything you'd expect from the Applebee's menu (didn't change through lockdown).The restaurant is adhering to new capacity guidelines and none of the staff wear masks.
This is officially my favorite Applebee's location. The dining room was clean, the hosts sat the guests appropriately according to social distancing rules and sanitized behind everyone. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was so fresh and delicious, I even ordered a second meal to go! Will definitely be returning as this was the best experience I've ever had with this chain.
We typically order pizza, which is always delicious. However, we decided to try the trio pasta with meat sauce tonight, and it was fantastic.

The restaurant openly threatened me after I filed a legitimate complaint with OSHA. Their response was very unprofessional and unacceptable.

Yesterday, we ordered takeout from a restaurant for around $50 and wanted to support a small, family-run establishment.
I love eating at my local Applebee’s in Rowlett!! Always a great atmosphere and great service and food is always great!
